Are You Disgusting To Women? - SFTS 144
Episode 144
Show notes
====SNIPPETS FROM THE SUMMIT=== By now you know how much I love ironic humor, especially when it's subtle. So with that in mind, SFTS #144 had to be about being GROSS! If you haven't heard, women are big on not being disgusted. Since we as men have a much higher tolerance for it, we might let ourselves slip a bit. Gentleman, that just cannot happen. So then, what about yourself, your habits, your living space and even your car should you ride herd on to make sure women will not only be attracted to YOU, but to being NEAR you? Stay tuned for some unexpected twists on this topic. Check out the newly-refreshed slate of goodies at: https://mountaintoppodcast.com

Good Sex, Bad Sex, And Dancing - MTP 536
Episode 536
Show notes
Co-Host Anna Cordin (https://mountaintoppodcast.com/dance) My first-time guest is Anna Cordin, who's originally from Russia and now lives in South Florida. Better weather, for sure. She's the author of Power of the Dick: A Love Story. She's also a ballroom dance expert. So yes, thank me now...I brought you another sexpert with a Russian accent and a fresh take, just like you love. Anyway, hitting the ground running, we talk about (once again...there's a pattern here) why safety and security is so incredibly important to attraction, and what that mechanism actually looks like for women. Next, we discuss calm attraction versus anxious butterflies after hundreds of dates. And of course, you'll get the reasons why Anna wrote a book called Power of the Dick: A Love Story, along with practical examples from it you can start using today. Why do so many women have such a difficult time orgasming with a real, live man? What are the bad influences on men that lead to bad sex (hint: expect a surprising take on porn here) Oh, and by the way...make absolute sure to note the part about eleven minutes in where my advice on never taking dating advice from your mother gets thoroughly challenged (and as a bonus, a great example of how Russia is definitely different than the US). Then, it's on to what ballroom dance reveals about leadership versus control in relationships. Why don't men typically like dancing? After all, we know women LOVE it, can't get enough of it, and the guys who do it tend to get all the women. And hey, why do women instinctively follow a man's lead, even on the dance floor? And finally the truth... Is dancing a metaphor for sex? After listening to the show, take a look at the newly refreshed https://mountaintoppodcast.com

Why The "Toxic Masculinity" Conversation Is Basically Over (And The Men Who Ended It) - SFTS 143
Episode 143
Show notes
===SNIPPETS FROM THE SUMMIT=== We started hearing the phrase "toxic masculinity" about a decade ago. There were three different reactions men typically had. The first was to get angry. The second was to double-down on being "toxic". The third was to shy away and retreat, lest anyone be offended. But these days you're hearing the phrase less and less, aren't you? What happened to reverse the trend? Well, this brief episode explains what happened and why...and most importantly WHO turned the tables on an entire cultural mindset. Men are back, and here's the difference that made the difference for the MEN who stepped up and reversed the narrative. Get in on all the new goodies at: https://mountaintoppodcast.com

Pickup As A Spiritual Act - MTP 535
Episode 535
Show notes
Co-Host Louis Brantmeyer (https://mountaintoppodcast.com/louis) You may be a church-going kind of guy or not, but how much thought have you ever given to the idea of attraction and relationships being a spiritual thing? After hundreds of episodes, we've admittedly given far too little attention to this very real truth. My first-time guest thinks about this all the time. Louis Brantmeyer is a relationship coach and author of A Creationship's Inception, and you're in for the kind of conversation you guys tend to love the most around here. Prepare to be challenged with new and smart ideas you haven't heard before. First up, what is "enchantment", according to Louis? What is the #1 block so many guys have that makes it impossible to experience a spiritual relationship with a woman? How is it that we are all spiritually engaged, yet some people bypass it--either by choice or not? How best can language express and convey attraction and connection at the spiritual level (or even no words at all?) Why can two different guys use the same line on women and have completely different results? (Hint: It's not about their looks.) Why might you not meet a woman at church who matches up with you spiritually? What does "twin flame" have to do with any of this? And the biggest question of all: Is it really okay to think of sex and spirituality in the same thought process if I'm a man of Christian, Jewish or Muslim faith? Personal Style: Invite Her Into Your Reality - SFTS 142
Episode 142
Show notes
===SNIPPETS FROM THE SUMMIT=== What do you think of when you think of "style"? If you're like most men, you think of supermodels walking the runway in Paris. But importantly for us as men, this isn't only about "fashion". Your style is a mission-critical signal to everyone--including the women you really want--about who you really are and what you're about. Too many of us are treating what we wear as an afterthought, let alone whatever else we're outfitting our lives about. This brief episode will empower you to be more intentional about style, and in doing so you'll greatly increase your attractiveness to exactly the kind of women you genuinely want the most. First Date Mistakes - MTP 534
Episode 534
Show notes
Co-Host May Bugenhagen (https://mountaintoppodcast.com/may) For many men, first meetings with women are nothing short of a white-knuckle situation. I mean, you're excited about being out with a woman, but it could go great, or...not so much. And as men, we tend to blame ourselves when things go awry. Well, my first-time guest is matchmaker May Bugenhagen, and she's here to talk about some of the avoidable mistakes many of us make on first dates. First off, how do we deal with the nervous energy before and during dates? What's the first thing all men should remember right at the beginning of first dates? (Hint: It should be obvious, but most men rarely even acknowledge it.) What is the easiest thing in the world a man can do to make a first meeting go well, yet so many men mess it up anyway? Even though it seems almost impossible, what topics should you absolutely avoid on first dates? How would you answer, "What questions should women ask men on dates?" See if your answer is the same as mine. What are the secrets to taking ourselves less seriously on dates, in the best way possible? Why is it that May can ask for date feedback from both the man and the woman she set up together, and it sounds like they were on completely separate dates? What makes one party think the date went well and the other one doesn't? What's "second stage fear of rejection"? How do you handle the "why are you divorced" question? And what about the dreaded "what are you looking for?" question? Things have changed. It's harder to find a good woman than ever. Let's talk about it. It all starts at: https://mountaintoppodcast.com

How To Be A "Measured" Man - SFTS 141
Episode 141
Show notes
===SNIPPETS FROM THE SUMMIT=== The term "measured" is kind of like "high maintenance", isn't it? We all have a mental picture of what it is, but not all of us have the same mental picture. So what does it actually mean to be a "measured" man, and what does it look like? What do men from Sub-Saharan Africa, East Asian men and Native American men have deeply ingrained in their culture that other guys don't? More importantly, why does all of this even matter? What is it about truly "measured" men that both attracts women and earns the respect of other men? The Masculine Blueprint - MTP 533
Episode 533
Show notes
Co-Host GS Youngblood (https://mountaintoppodcast.com/blueprint) For years I've noted how being masculine is in every man's nature, so if we simply relax into it there's not a whole lot of "heavy lifting" involved. But that doesn't change the fact that we as men like to have a plan. My returning guest GS Youngblood has exactly such a plan, which he calls The Masculine Blueprint. First off, we talk about how so many men got confused about this stuff to begin with. So then, what are the three element's of GS's blueprint? Why is the concept of responding vs. reacting so important to your very foundation as a masculine man? And why do so many truly powerful men mess it up? What drives our instincts to constantly want to "get out of trouble" with women? What's the difference between being genuinely "toxic" (or even straight-up crazy) and someone who's needs aren't getting met? And on that note, what are women typically like when their needs aren't getting met? What's the difference in that case between "manning up", being an idiot/jerk and being a simp? Could it possibly be true that the difference between being a husband and parenting is surprisingly thin? And finally, how can you be a man who genuinely changes the world? What can you do RIGHT NOW to improve your relationships with women? Find out at: https://mountaintoppodcast.com

Why Millionaires Jump Off Of Buildings - SFTS 140
Episode 140
Show notes
===SNIPPETS FROM THE SUMMIT=== You've heard the stories about rich businessmen jumping off of buildings after the stock market crash in 1929. What's up with that? Well, as it turns out there's a clearly defined psychological principle going on there. We as men in particular are particularly prone to adopt this poisonous mindset. But worse...the very same issue can trickle down into our mindset toward women, and it negatively affects our potential success with them. And it's TRICKY, which makes things that much worse. How do you detect if you're been caught in this trap, and more importantly...how do you get out of it? Our Favorite On-Screen Relationships - MTP 532
Episode 532
Show notes
Co-Host Emily McKay (https://scotmckaycoaching.com) It's long overdue, but Emily and I are finally talking about male/female relationship on TV and in movies. There's no better co-host for this, since, well...Emily and I watch more shows together than we do with anyone else, obviously. Given that spaghetti westerns and action/adventure flicks rarely have much to offer as far as dudes and chicks getting together, luckily Emily gets her turn every once in a while at having me sit through one of her "chick flicks". As a dating/relationship specialist, this is where the true "research" is, so I probably don't mind watching them as much as some other guys might. So here's the deal, skip every rom-com with Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore , Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson, or Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan because they all follow the same formula. We also spared you another commentary on either Titanic or The Notebook. Instead, we start off by going after the Taylor Sheridan universe. We cover Rip and Beth from Yellowstone, Spencer and Alex from 1923, and pretty much every interesting couple in Landman. Then we get to: Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake in Friends With Benefits, Brett Goldstein and Juno Temple in Ted Lasso, Matthew Perry and Salma Hayek in Fools Rush In, Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn in Overboard, Bruce Willis and Cybill Shepherd in Moonlighting, Tom Cruise and Renee Zellweger in Jerry Maguire, and several other "surprise" mentions. Then, we go back to '70s TV with Archie and Edith Bunker and George and Weezy Jefferson. As for our takes on all of these crazy characters, all I can say is expect the unexpected. Episode 139

===SNIPPETS FROM THE SUMMIT=== What does getting a haircut have to do with getting better with women? As it turns out, plenty...as long as you're up to the task. With due respect to barbershop culture if that's your time with your buds, this is all about choosing a female barber. Making Her Like You More - MTP 531
Episode 531
Show notes
Co-Host Jonathan Van Viegen (https://mountaintoppodcast.com/choosingus) My first time guest Jonathan Van Viegen is a couples therapist and coach, and author of The Chosen And Cherished Method along with his new book Choosing Us. The topic he suggested is one that doesn't get talked about nearly enough in the world of dating and relationship advice, especially amongst us men. That's being likeable. Now, it seems simple and obvious how important this is to attracting women and building relationships with them, so why is it so often overlooked? What's the best path to becoming a better man that's actually going to lead to women liking you more? (Hint: it's not always so obvious.) Jonathan admits he didn't used to be very likable to his wife. How exactly did he turn that ship around? What's the difference between a woman being attracted to you and actually liking you? Is the mental image many men have of "masculinity" actually likable? Here's how and why those two traits don't have to be mutually exclusive. What's one simple habit that makes you more likable immediately, especially to women? Is there a likable way to earn respect? What is the skill many people have lost since COVID that makes them far harder to like? It has been said that attraction isn't a choice. Is liking someone a choice? What's the hard truth about likability that everyone should learn...especially if they want to stand out in a crowd? On the other hand, why are needy people pleasers so unlikable? And finally, what's the one question men should write down and ask themselves over and over? The website has just been updated with new, cool stuff: https://mountaintoppodcast.com

The Truth About Second Marriages - STFS 138
Episode 138
Show notes
===SNIPPETS FROM THE SUMMIT===We've all heard the alleged statistics about how 2nd marriages fail at a higher rate than first marriages. But did you know there's no actual study to back that up? The truth is very different. Nevertheless, I've got a significant plot twist for you when it comes to any and all studies that talk about dating, relationships and attraction. Sometimes the alleged "red pill" is still just the "blue pill". In this brief episode I reveal the best mindset you can have in the face of these studies. Flirting Is Supposed To Be Fun - MTP 530
Episode 530
Show notes
Co-Host Cora Boyd (https://mountaintoppodcast.com/cora) One of the biggest stumbling blocks for men is flirting. After all, in our minds it's all about revealing sexual (or at least non-platonic) interest in a woman, and rumor has it that sort of thing is flat-out dangerous in today's world. Well, my first-time guest Cora Boyd is the host of Pillow Talk Radio and heads up Magnetics Love School. To say she's the perfect guest to clear up any confusion or frustration about this topic is an understatement. Just when so many guys are cynical enough to go "redpilled" and swear off women, along comes Cora to restore hope in female humanity. Right out of the gate, Cora proves she knows exactly what we as men are feeling--and facing--out there nowadays when it comes to flirting. She not only knows what is going on, she knows why, and she's all about empowering you to flirt with women they way they crave being flirted with. So, what is Cora's take on "establishing normalcy" when meeting a woman for the first time? Why do we as men really shy away from flirting with women? And how do we clear up our psychology so flirting really does become as fun for us as it is for most women? How can we master the male/female vibe when interacting with a woman? Why does trying to come up with the perfect move or the perfect line always seem to backfire? What are "flirting flavors"? What should men do instead of trying to "close the deal" with women? And what is there to be said for improving your entire social outlook--and your social life with it--as a direct way to get comfortable with, and therefore better at flirting? What encouragement does Cora have for men who are still cynical about all of this? And what if flirting is actually an act of service toward women? The Woman Of Your Dreams: You Won't See Her Coming - SFTS 137
Episode 137
Show notes
===SNIPPETS FROM THE SUMMIT===What happens when someone asks you to envision the "woman of your dreams"? Well, you likely have a mental picture almost immediately. She's exactly your type and/or what society projects as the "perfect woman". But here's the thing: when the woman who really "does it for you" shows up in real life, she might not be who you envisioned. What's up with that? Are you settling? The surprising answer is actually the most normal, natural one...and nearly everyone can relate to it. And by the way, the same principle has massive ramifications on how we understand women's stereotypical "preferences" for the man they say they want. Can we all get over ourselves, stop over-analyzing and let authentic attraction happen? What Love Truly Is - MTP 529
Episode 529
Show notes
Co-Host Scotte Burns (https://mountaintoppodcast.com/scotte) My first-time guest Scotte Burns and his wife have spent nearly a decade and more than 100,000 miles on Harleys asking one question: What is love...especially in a language like English which infamously only has one word to cover the whole concept? They got many answers along the way, but which one changed Scotte the most? I mean, what makes a man spend ten years and a hundred thousand miles asking what love is? What were some of the most memorable or transformative encounters they had on the road? What did men they talked to say about love? How did it differ from what women told them? What do most people get wrong about love? And how about marriage on the road? Ten years in close quarters with his wife. How did that work? Scotte says love is not merely an emotion, but something more fundamental. What does he mean by that? And what does it actually mean to love yourself first? (i.e. not a mere platitude) At what point did his search for the meaning of love become a deeper inquiry into consciousness itself? And here's a good question: How does love really relate to masculinity and femininity? Why do men struggle more with articulating what love is? How are love and attraction actually related (contrary to conventional wisdom), and is attraction is a prerequisite for love or merely a distraction? But what if she is spending time with you, but at the same time it's crystal clear that things are going nowhere with her? From Player To Parent - MTP 528
Episode 528
Show notes
Co-Host Robbie Kramer (https://mountaintoppodcast.com/kramer) My returning guest Robbie Kramer joins me for this wide-ranging episode on the journey from PUA-era men's coach to husband and father. What's more, Robbie is a "girl dad"...just a month and a half in. So what, if anything, changes in us as men once we get married, and especially when we become a parent? And what are the specific mind shifts and wake-up calls that happen when we become "girl dads"? So-called conventional wisdom says that the more we "play the field" as single men, the harder it is to commit to one woman long-term and the family life that goes with it. Find out why both Robbie and I believe the opposite is true. So was Robbie ready to be a dad? What happened for both he and I when our respective first-born kiddos came along? What's the unexpected (and by far the most irrefutable) argument for choosing a hot wife? What keeps a good marriage and parenthood from feeling like a trap? What kind of true freedom and therefore real autonomy unexpectedly comes with being a family man? What are the marketing shenanigans that some former PUAs are up to nowadays...now that they've actually become husbands and dads themselves? (Hint: No, you're not a "simp" for wanting to be a father and actually live with your own kids.) When it comes down to it, the healthiest and most powerful evolution from player to parent is to consciously and intentionally create the life you REALLY want with the partner you REALLY want (yes, including physical attractiveness) and raise your kids the way you REALLY want. The problem, is most men either don't realize these options are available, or else they just fail to deploy. Co-Host Dr. Kyle Hulsebus (https://mountaintoppodcast.com/40over40) My first-time guest Dr. Kyle Hulsebus is a health and human potential specialist, author, and third-generation chiropractor. Indeed, his 40over40 longevity series claims sex after 40 is a health signal. Kyle's work redefines health as an internal mind/body state where purpose, relationships, work, and physical well-being function together. He argues that most midlife decline starts with a loss of direction, long before a lab test catches it. Although there is definitely both a spiritual and a metaphysical side to it all, Kyle's approach is 100% practical. No scripts, no supplements pitch, just what actually keeps a body working past 40.Tip #20 out of his 40 is "make love". Kyle explains it's less about sex for sex's sake and more about connection, honest communication, and what happens in the body when people stop hiding their desires. He raises a real question: are people talking openly with their partners about desire, or carrying it privately, or unpacking it anonymously somewhere else entirely? So, why is making love after 40 is part of your health, not an optional extra? Why are so many over 40 are in silent health decline? (hint: it's not testosterone) Why is it some people can connect almost immediately, but others can go years with no connection at all?
