Zach and Kyle are back for the FINAL episode of the season! They recap the Richland Center wrestlers’ trip to Fargo, along with highlights and results from the rest of Team Wisconsin.

This week's special guest is Blake Mueller, Richland Center's newest Fargo qualifier. Blake joins the show to talk about qualifying for one of the nation's toughest wrestling tournaments, his preparation for Fargo, and what the opportunity means to him.

Episode 17 of Beyond the Whistle with Zach and Kyle recaps an exciting Freestyle and Greco season so far for the Richland Center Wrestling Club. The guys break down Fargo qualifier performances, Northern Plains Championships, and an impressive showing at the Freestyle and Greco State Championships where several RC wrestlers earned podium finishes, including three state finalists.

Kyle sits down with RCHS Head Coach and RCWC Board Member Wyatt Seep to recap the Richland Center wrestling season. They talk through the highs, the lows, and the growth the program experienced this year.

Coach Seep shares his perspective on how the season unfolded and what steps wrestlers should be taking right now and during the offseason to catch up with the top competition in the area and across the state.

With strong youth numbers, committed coaches, and momentum building throughout the program, Richland Center Wrestling is on the comeback train, and there are a lot of exciting things happening for the future.

Zach is joined by Dan to recap Youth Team State and talk about the future of the RC wrestling program. Dan shares what it’s been like stepping in as a new coach in Richland Center — the good, the bad, and the ugly.

They also discuss shifting the club toward more dual tournaments, look ahead to the Individual State Tournament, and talk about what the offseason should look like for wrestlers. From finding a club to competing in freestyle and Greco and attending summer camps, the focus is on continuing to improve.
