Episode 146 closes out the September Cigars Unbanded x Small Batch Cigar pack with the full panel taking on the fourth and final blind cigar of the month. After a September that already delivered two A tiers and a C tier, the guys are hoping to finish the pack on a high note. The cigar shows some promise early with cedar, white pepper, brown sugar, oak, coffee, Nutella, leather, and a mix of sweet and savory notes. As it progresses, though, the experience changes dramatically for several members of the panel, with increasing minerality, dryness, wood, florality, bitterness, and some unusual chemical notes creating plenty of disagreement around the table. For this week’s discussion, we turn things over to the community and ask which cigars and brands still deserve a shot on Cigars Unbanded after 146 episodes. The panel goes through viewer submissions, talks about brands we haven't featured enough, revisiting old-school favorites blind, and starts building a list of potential cigars for future episodes.

Episode 145 brings the full panel together for cigar #3 from the September Cigars Unbanded x Small Batch Cigar pack, with Xavier jumping in as a guest panelist. The cigar starts strong with cedar, leather, sweet cream, salted butter, cinnamon, and a smooth retrohale, before developing more floral, earthy, chocolate, pepper, and savory notes as it progresses. For this week’s main topic, the guys put cigar companies through a completely random game of F*ck, Marry, Kill. Each panelist gets three randomly selected companies and has to decide which one they’re keeping around, which one they’re having a little fun with, and which one has to go. The chat gets in on the action too, voting on its own randomly selected brands.

Episode 144 features cigar #2 from the September Cigars Unbanded x Small Batch Cigar pack. The cigar starts strong with a mix of cinnamon and baking spice, graham cracker, cedar, caramel sweetness, nuttiness, leather, floral notes, and touches of maple and brown sugar, with solid construction across the panel. The main conversation dives into cigars that completely changed the panel’s expectations of a brand, including standout cigars from brands they normally don’t gravitate toward and disappointing releases from brands they usually love. Peter also breaks in the brand-new Cigars Unbanded studio for the first time after finally retiring the smoking tent. By the end of the night, cigar #2 earns plenty of praise from the panel and lands at an overall A-tier rating.

No bands. No bias. No agendas.

The episode also explores the future of cigar content online, social media censorship, and the challenges creators face on today's platforms before revealing the cigar and discussing Drew Estate's place in the current premium cigar market. A solid B-tier performance closes out the July pack, with announcements for the upcoming Tobacconist of Greenwich Titans of Tobacco series, Small Batch Sunday community smokes, and the August mystery sampler.
