  1. A Guide to Tarot as a Language You Can Learn

    Season 4, Episode 9

    Show notes

    Send us Fan Mail

Happy Samhain! For the month of November, we will be exploring different divination practices each episode. Today we begin with the Tarot. We can lean into first of the month energy with simple, realistic witchcraft you can actually do. I also share why November feels naturally reflective and how that mood can support ancestral connection and inner child healing without forcing a big, perfect ritual.

From there, we dive into tarot reading as a practical divination tool, especially if you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by “78 cards to memorize.” We talk tarot history (yes, Italy), why the Rider Waite Smith system shows up everywhere, and why Pamela Colman Smith deserves to be named. I break down how tarot works through archetypes, symbolism, and story, plus what to do if you only want to pull one card or why I like tarot spreads.

We also get honest about fear cards and beginner anxiety. Death, Tower, Three of Swords, Nine of Swords, and Ten of Swords can be intense, but they also offer clear medicine if you know what to ask next. I share my approach to choosing a deck, cleansing with smoke or selenite, skipping reversals, reading for other people, and even using tarot in spells and crystal grids so the cards become a living language, not a test.

If this resonates, subscribe so you don’t miss the rest of our divination series, share this with a friend who’s tarot-curious, and leave a review so more witches can find Cozy Coven Chats.

  2. How to Connect with Your Ancestors No Matter your Lineage, Culture or Beliefs

    Season 4, Episode 8

    Show notes

We begin this week under a full moon in Taurus. Leaning into that steady, determined Taurus energy that helps intentions actually last. If you’ve been wanting to release a habit, commit to a new practice, or celebrate how far you’ve come since spring, this lunation is a supportive place to begin, even with something as simple as a journal page or a few minutes outside under the moon.

I chat about Mercury going retrograde in Scorpio and how to cope. Yes, it can bring miscommunications, tech hiccups, and scheduling weirdness, but it can also be a gift if we treat it like an invitation to slow down. We dig into how to think before we speak, reread the text before we send it, and be extra mindful of words that might sting. You’ll also hear a quick tarot and oracle check-in, including a boost of recognition and a reminder to choose fun that still feels good the next day. I pull cards from the Halloween Tarot and the Oracle of Forgotten Witches for some good news.

The heart of this Cozy Coven Chat is ancestor veneration and how to make it work for you. We explore who “counts” as an ancestor (including stepfamily, adopted family, and chosen connections), how to call in ancestors of the, and easy rituals like a dumb supper or a simple ancestor altar. I also talk about working with grief, honoring loved ones and pets who have passed, and why connecting with ancestors can create real belonging without the drama. Subscribe for more Samhain season support, share this with a witchy friend, and leave a review with the ancestor practice you want to try next.

  3. Samhain: Kitchen Witch Edition and How to Avoid Burnout this Season

    Season 4, Episode 7

    Show notes

    Send us Fan Mail

Samhain energy is here. The veil is thin and so is our patience (at least for some of us). We start with a real check-in: if you’re exhausted, stretched too thin, or secretly dreading plans you normally love, you’re not broken. You’re burned out, and that deserves honesty and grace.

We pull two powerful cards to frame the week. First, the Kratt, a warning about overwork and the way productivity can turn into a self-made trap. From there we talk about why burnout has felt on the periphery since COVID and how nervous system stress can linger in the background of everyday life.

Then we turn to The Star from the tarot, the reminder that relief is possible, luck can return, and your magic works better when you stop forcing it.

You’ll also hear my take on Scorpio season, the Taurus full moon, and a simple manifestation prompt that cuts through overthinking: what would you wish for if it could be granted?

To bring it all down to earth, we kitchen witchcraft and seasonal rituals you can actually do while tired: simmer pots, soups and stews, pumpkin spice as a spell, tea herbs, offerings like candy on your altar, and the deep healing that can come from making an ancestral recipe. I also share a “bless the bones” practice you can do alone or with kids, plus journal prompts to help you name what you’re done carrying from my favorite book on kitchen witchcraft: Witch in the Kitchen: Magical Cooking for All Seasons by Cait Johnson

Subscribe so you don’t miss the full moon and Samhain flow, share this with a friend who needs a softer season, and leave a review if the cards and rituals help you feel more like yourself.

  4. The History of the Jack-O-Lantern and How to Use Jack-O-Lanterns in Modern Magick

    Season 4, Episode 6

    Show notes

    Send us Fan Mail

We begin the week in the energy of the Libra new moon, and Venus retrograde in Scorpio stirring up relationship truths and personal imbalance.

I share one of my favorite tools for self-check-ins that I learned from Granddaughter Crow: the four bodies. We look at the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual layers of your life and how they tangle together, especially when stress gets stored in the body. If you’ve ever wondered why a pain, ache, or “stuck” feeling won’t move, this framing helps you ask better questions and make kinder choices.

Tarot adds some clarity to the week with the Eight of Ghosts, a clear invitation to walk away from what drains your cup, and an oracle pull on Agathos Daimon that challenges us to stop only reading about spirituality and start practicing it.

Then we take another dip into Halloween history with jack-o-lantern folklore. I read an 1851 poem, “The Romance of Jack-O’Lantern,” unpack the Stingy Jack legend, and track how turnip lanterns in Ireland became pumpkin carvings in the United States. We close with modern witchcraft ideas you can try right away, from pumpkin prosperity bowls and abundance magic to inner child healing and shadow work that looks “normal” on the outside but carries real intention.

  5. Kicking off the Season of the Witch with a Samhain History Lesson

    Season 4, Episode 5

    Show notes

    Send us Fan Mail

The season of the witch is upon us! And we begin with a little history lesson on Samhain.

I pull card from The Halloween Tarot and The Oracle of the Forgotten Witches, and the results are blunt in the best way. The Ten of Bats lands like Ophelia in Hamlet, while the Kikimora shows how chaos creeps in through clutter, frayed nerves, and misaligned choices. With Venus retrograde in Scorpio and Mercury retrograde approaching also in Scorpio, I talk about why this is prime time for shadow work, relationship review, and restoring order without chasing perfection.

We can use the Libra new moon on 10/10 to frame a simple harmony ritual: clean your space, cleanse your energy, and invite peace back into your routines. All you need is a little time and a Temperance card.

From there, we go deep on Samhain history and Halloween origins. I share what Samhain means, why there’s no evidence of a Celtic god named Samhain, and how ideas like the need fire, cyclical time, and the thin veil shape modern witchcraft. We also zoom out to connected traditions like Pomona, All Souls, Day of the Dead, Fèt Gede, and Diwali, all circling ancestor connection and the turning of the year. If you’ve been craving a calmer Samhain reset, this one’s for you.

  6. You Are Witchy Enough Even On Your Busy Days

    Season 4, Episode 5

    Show notes

    Send us Fan Mail

We’re standing on a threshold, and Libra season brings the scales: balance, beauty, and the kind of harmony that has to be built in real life.

I pull cards that get straight to the root chakra stuff: money, safety, home, and belonging. The Four of Pentacles calls out the tight grip of scarcity mindset and asks us to redefine prosperity beyond cash. The “We Are Family” message shifts the focus to chosen family, lineage, and the ancestors who may be closer than you think right now. If you’ve been feeling tender about the holidays, budgeting, or complicated family dynamics, this is a compassionate reframe. I used the Happy Halloween Tarot and the Morbid Mirror Oracle both by Soni Graves.

We also go to the crossroads, literally. A mysterious pile of acorns from woodpeckers turns into a living signpost that pulls in Hecate, nature symbolism, and the reminder that spirit communication can be loud when we’ve been too busy to notice the subtle stuff. From there, we talk about witchy FOMO, imposter syndrome, accessibility in witchcraft, neurodivergence, and why social media performance is not the measure of a real practice. Simple daily witchcraft counts: breath, tea, rest, a walk, a tarot deck in your hands, a playlist on a low-energy day.

If this gave you a little magic, subscribe, share with a friend who needs permission to keep it simple, and leave a review so more witches can find us.

Want to celebrate the Equinox with me?

I have a free event on Insight Timer: https://insig.ht/1C2on1M5l6b

Balance doesn’t magically arrive when life calms down. We have to build it, revisit it, and sometimes schedule it in and the equinox is one of the best seasonal moments to do that work with clarity. I’m sharing what I look at when I feel off center, how I tell the difference between balance and harmony, and why the smallest neglected area of life is often the one that changes everything once you feed it again.

We start with a card using the Happy Halloween Tarot, pulling the Nine of Pentacles as a sweet reminder to celebrate your wins, define success on your own terms, and enjoy what you’ve already created. I also pull a card from the Morbid Mirror Oracle. From there, we move into equinox journaling prompts and a simple “life audit” across career, relationships, home life, health, and spirit. If you’re overwhelmed or working nonstop, I offer realistic ways to create small pockets of space, plus ritual ideas like nature observation, crystal grids, and seasonal mindfulness.

Then we step into Libra season with Venus-led themes of beauty, pleasure, and restoring flow, before closing with the Full Moon in Aries. Aries brings raw power and fresh-start energy, making it a great time to reflect back to Aries season, take stock of what you planted, and choose a gratitude or release ritual that matches your season whether you’re honoring Mabon or Ostara.

  8. What a Real Witch Thinks of the Practical Magic Franchise

    Season 4, Episode 3

    Show notes

    Send us Fan Mail

This week I chat Practical Magic, the books and the new movie. No Spoilers! But we begin by looking at Virgo season. Our house doesn’t have to be perfect to feel like a sanctuary. This week we lean hard into Virgo season energy: cleaning, clearing, organizing, and auditing what’s actually working in our lives. I share the real-life, not-aesthetic version of “ritualizing your life” from deep cleaning to freezer diving, and why caring for the mundane can be one of the most powerful forms of everyday witchcraft and self care.

Our tarot pull is The Star, a bright signal of healing, resilience, and guidance. I also pull a message from the Morbid Mirror Oracle, “We are one, we do not have nature, we are nature,” and talk about what that means for grounding, seasonal living, and the way our homes and bodies hold energy. Along the way, I share simple home energy cleansing tips you can do with grocery store items.

Then we shift into witchy culture of Practical Magic, from the books to why the movie matters as a women-led story that wasn’t treated kindly when it first came out. I talk about showing up for the stories that reflect us, and choosing not to tear women down for aging or appearance. If you’re craving a calm reset with a little magic, this one’s for you.

  9. A Witch's Perspective and Preparation for Ghosts and Hauntings

    Season 4, Episode 2

    Show notes

    Send us Fan Mail

We start with the energy of the week with the new moon in Virgo. Our tarot of the week is the High Priestess. She points us toward quiet, stillness, and listening to our inner guide. I also pulled an oracle card from Morbid Mirror: Preparation for the Afterlife. Together these cards invite us to go within. Virgo season energy invites us into cleansing your home, decluttering, organizing your space, and resetting your routines. I share simple cleansing ideas you can actually do, from energetic clearing to getting your tools and environment aligned with your goals.

Then we get into the paranormal: what we mean by “ghosts” and “spirits,” why different cultures draw different lines, and the big difference between an imprint haunting that replays like a loop and an interactive spirit you might be able to communicate with. We also cover spiritual protection before and after haunted places, including prayers for protection, cord cutting, and cleansing options like herbs, sacred smoke, selenite, egg cleansing, and even holy water.

I also what sensing the paranormal feels like in the body: cold or heat shifts, sudden emotion, racing heart, dizziness, words that pop into your mind, and other body cues that can signal activity. If you’re curious about tools, I talk tarot, pendulums, scrying, dowsing rods, and more, plus a personal story of an early ghost sighting that sent us straight to research for confirmation. If this conversation sparks something for you, subscribe, share it with a friend who loves ghost stories, and leave a review. What’s the most convincing paranormal moment you’ve ever had?

  10. Boundaries and Unseen Progress: Social Media Narrowing Our View and Late Summer Herbal Harvesting

    Season 4, Episode 1

    Show notes

    Send us Fan Mail

Let's take a collective honest end-of-August exhale with two cards that both point to the same truth, you are making progress even when your eyes cannot confirm it yet. I pull the Nine of Wands for boundaries and stamina, then an oracle card on synchronicities and serendipity that asks us to measure growth emotionally, spiritually, and mentally, not just by visible outcomes. If you’ve felt worn down, behind, or restless lately, this is a gentle reset with real journal prompts you can use right away.

We also look ahead to early September astrology, including the “sticky, weird” vibe around September 1 (Mars square Saturn) and why a void-of-course Moon can make a day feel slightly off. From there, I share what’s coming up in Our Coven: our theme is Thrive, plus a private live Q&A with beloved witchy author Deborah Blake. I also shout out my upcoming Movie Coven appearance to talk Twilight, and what we’re doing on Belief Being and Beyond with community questions.

Then we go practical and seasonal. If it’s hot, dry, and you’re craving a shift, we talk late-summer witchy prep and kitchen magic: harvesting, preserving, fire cider, four thieves vinegar, elderberry syrup, herbal tea upgrades, and smoke bundles for home cleansing. I close with some very eclipse thoughts about social media algorithms, why posting can feel like throwing your best energy away, and how niche feeds can quietly shrink our shared reality.

  11. Leo Season Energy And First Harvest Rituals For August

    Season 3, Episode 25

    Show notes

    Send us Fan Mail

August has a way of turning the volume up: the sun feels louder, your calendar fills faster, and you can almost sense the season tipping toward change. We lean into that feeling with a Cozy Coven Chat that blends practical modern witchcraft with seasonal living, so you can ride the late-summer wave without getting knocked over by it.

We start with real-life reflections on travel, home, and what it means when a place finally feels like it fits. From there, we talk about community magic in Our Coven, including a symbolism theme that turns into a burst of creative divination. August’s coven focus shifts to potions.

The tarot and oracle pulls set the tone for the month: focused fire, fast movement, and the quiet hope of the Star. We connect that to the Leo New Moon for confidence and visibility, the transition into Virgo season for organization and decluttering, and a dreamy Pisces Full Moon that begs for spellwork. I also share a grounded take on Lammas or Lughnasadh as first harvest season, with a simple question you can use anywhere: what is being harvested where you live right now?

Along the way we get honest about social media, attention, “popcorn brain,” and why unplugging is not a moral flex but a real spiritual practice. There’s also a haunted-history detour to the Whaley House. Plus practical apothecary prep like four thieves vinegar and elderberry syrup for back-to-school season. If any of this hits home, subscribe, share the episode with a friend, and leave a review so more witches can find a slower, steadier kind of magic.

  12. A July Witchy Forecast For Tender Hearts

    Season 3, Episode 24

    Show notes

    Send us Fan Mail

Mercury retrograde in Cancer can feel like someone turned the volume up on your inner world, and suddenly you are tender, tired, and replaying conversations you thought you were done with. I’m Jenny C. Bell, and I’m walking through a grounded July astrology forecast that treats the retrograde as a tool: slow down, double-check the details, and give your feelings room to speak without judging them. If you’ve been wondering why you want to hermit while everyone else looks “summer social,” there’s a real rhythm to it.

We move through the month’s lunar anchors, including the New Moon in Cancer (July 14) for setting fresh intentions around home, care, and emotional nourishment, plus the Full Moon in Aquarius (July 29) for celebration, community, and hope for the future once Mercury is moving forward again. I share simple ritual ideas like spending time near water, especially at night, and I call out supportive touchstones like moonstone and labradorite. I also pull oracle cards from the Arcana Folia deck, with themes like changing your mindset, zooming in on what you’re missing, not letting fear drive, and trusting a gentle plot twist that leads to gradual success.

I also talk coven life, symbols as our monthly theme, why audiobook listeners are absolutely readers, and how to protect your mental health by being mindful with news and social media. If July feels heavy, you’re not alone, and you’re not behind. Subscribe, share this with a friend who needs tenderness, and leave a review with your ideal July plot twist.

  13. Midyear Reset Magic

    Season 3, Episode 23

    Show notes

    Send us Fan Mail

We are looking at the month of June in this chat. We begin with a blue full moon in Sagittarius is pure forward-motion energy: what goal still matters, what needs a spark, and where can you add fire without burning yourself out. From there we move into the June new moon in Gemini and talk practical magic you can use right now like clearer communication, starting a writing project, drafting the tough email, and preparing for a conversation you’ve been avoiding.

Then the tone turns inward with a guided Akashic Records reading for June that keeps repeating one message: slow down, get quiet, and trust what’s happening here and now. We talk about nervous system fatigue from the news cycle, the pressure of the collective, and how authenticity gets blurry when so much of life is filtered through screens, algorithms, and now AI. If you’ve been wondering about AI in witchcraft, AI tarot, or “spiritual” AI mentoring, you’ll hear why we think every witch needs their own rules, values, and boundaries.

We also pull June cards that point to momentum, long-term decisions, and self-trust, and we share updates on Divergent Witchcraft plus the journaling concept of a Book of Light. Finally, we step up on the soapbox to call out WitchTok gatekeeping, especially the toxic claim that you can’t be a “real witch” if you’re poor or not thin, and we reframe abundance as love, health, community, and joy, not just money.

If this conversation helps you reset your path, share it with a friend, subscribe so you don’t miss the weekly return in September, and leave a review so more witches can find the show.

  14. Overcoming Overwhelm, Fire Magic and Ladybugs

    Season 3, Episode 22

    Show notes

    Send us Fan Mail

The Sagittarius full moon has a way of telling the truth with a spark. We’re a week out from the May 31 full moon, and I’m using this cozy Coven’Chat to talk about what “bring the fire” can look like in real life: candle spell energy, transmutation, passion, and the kind of embodied movement that gets you back into your body. I also circle back to Beltane, because a ritual isn’t just a moment, it’s an arc, and sometimes the most powerful magic is simply returning to what you set in motion and closing the loop with care.

Then I share a few life updates, including co-hosting Belief Being And Beyond with Granddaughter Crow, where we keep coming back to belief, joy, and what lies beyond. From there we pull the card 701 from Mystic Michaela’s Angel Numbers deck, “Angelic Company”, and sit with the message that you are being protected. I offer a question I return to when my nervous system is braced: if I knew I was fully protected and everything would go well, what would I do differently? I also talk about asking for signs, believing them when they arrive, and why my ladybug story still feels like a living conversation with support.

The heart of the episode is the final chapter of my book Divergent Witchcraft: overcoming overwhelm. We talk frankly about how overwhelm can come from sound, light, information, social media, and a world that never slows down, and how many of us freeze rather than fight or flee. I share practical tools that reduce overwhelm without shame: checking sources so bad witchcraft info doesn’t spiral you, meditation and journaling as nervous system support, plus a spell to release overwhelm when you’re stuck in that couch marshmallow mode.

  15. You Can Be A Witch Without Casting Spells

    Season 3, Episode 21

    Show notes

    Send us Fan Mail

Fear has a way of sneaking in through the smallest cracks, then suddenly it is everywhere: the news, the economy, your kids’ questions about the future, and the quiet moments when you realize you cannot plan your way out of uncertainty. We start with a Cozy Coven Chat vibe and a Gemini season shift, then pull angel number 777 from the Angel Numbers deck as a direct message: face fear, trust the divine, and release the need to control what happens next. I also share a simple meditation posture tip using your hands to signal receiving or grounding, because spiritual work is not just a belief system, it is also a body practice.

From there, we get real about what it means to come of age during turbulent times and why collective fear feels so intense right now. I talk through the kind of heart-to-heart conversations many parents are having and why shadow work keeps returning until we choose to meet it. Trust, to me, is one of the closest feelings to “holy” we can access, but it is not easy or automatic. It is a practice, and it often begins by admitting what you are afraid of without letting that fear run your life.

Then we shift into practical witchcraft: spellcrafting for beginners, neurodivergent witches, and anyone who has ever wondered, “Am I allowed to do this?” I break down a clear structure for creating your own spells with a pre-spell ritual, a strong spell format, and an after-spell ritual that includes the mundane steps that make magic stick. We also tackle common questions like whether you can be a witch without doing spells and what to do with spell remains in a sustainable, responsible way. If you want more confidence with spellwork, more clarity on correspondences, protection, cleansing, and grounding, and a kinder path to building your own practice, press play. 16. Start Small And Finish Strong Under The Taurus New Moon

    Season 3, Episode 20

    Show notes

    Send us Fan Mail

The fastest way to change your life is to stop waiting for the “perfect” start and take one grounded step you can repeat. This week we’re working with the New Moon in Taurus and the steady, practical energy it offers: begin what you want to finish. That can look mystical and simple at the same time, like lighting a candle for your goal and also doing the tangible thing that moves it forward, naming the business, buying the domain, drafting the first line, opening the savings account, or starting the passport process.

We also pull an angel numbers message, 144 “connect,” and talk about meditation as an act of listening. Instead of pushing for signs, we make space for guidance by tuning in through the crown chakra and letting wisdom meet us in the quiet. If your manifestations have been floating around since spring but still don’t feel embodied, Taurus season is an invitation to ground them into routines, choices, and real commitments.

From there, we return to Divergent Witchcraft and the “Building Your Craft” idea: once you have a foundation, your path opens up into a choose-your-own-adventure. We reflect on allies like plants, crystals, animals, angels, tarot, and movement practices, plus how your environment and curiosity can shift what feels possible. I also share how magic becomes richer when it’s woven into everyday life, from kitchen witchcraft to sewing, crochet, and even blending Qi Gong with spellwork.

If you’re craving a practice that feels steady, personal, and alive, come listen, then share what you’re beginning and what path is calling you next. Subscribe, leave a review, and send this to a friend who needs a little grounded momentum.

We start with a card pull that’s oddly specific, then follow it into the real work of relationship magic, not just romance, but self-trust, friendship maintenance, family check-ins, and the way Beltane season asks us to nurture what we want to grow. I also share a simple, surprisingly powerful practice you can do anywhere: a self-hug as grounding, especially if you get overwhelmed, feel untethered, or live with neurodivergence.

I share about a first-time milestone I didn’t expect to be so emotional: traveling alone and staying in a hotel solo for the first time at almost 44, all to attend Spirit Northwest in Portland. I talk honestly about insomnia, ADHD-style sleep patterns, city disorientation, and the nerves of walking into a big pagan and witchy conference where you mostly know people from online spaces. Framed like a hero’s journey, the trip becomes a quest for belonging and validation I didn’t realize I needed.

I take you through the best moments: opening rituals, a Hathor-themed rebirth experience, teaching my class on crafting your own spells and rituals (and the relief of seeing people actually show up), plus standout sessions on elemental magic, psychic sleuthing, qi gong for grounding, hummingbird magic blended with culture and science, and Slavic fortune-telling that connects surprising threads across traditions. If you’re into witchcraft, pagan community, spell crafting, correspondences, ritual design, and real-world magical friendships, this one’s for you.

Happy Birthday to me! And a Merry Unbirthday to you! Your birthday is not “just another day” to get through. We treat it as a solar return, a rare reset point where your personal astrology loops back to the beginning, making it prime time for intention setting, spellwork, and a little fearless self-celebration. If you’ve ever let your birthday slide by without honoring yourself, we offer a simple fix: save the birthday candle and turn it into a ritual tool when you have time, so the magic still lands.

Then we jump into Beltane energy at full volume: pleasure, flowers, creativity, and the kind of play that actually restores you. With a Scorpio full moon arriving at the same time, the vibe gets extra witchy, intense, and unapologetic. We talk practical Beltane ritual ideas you can do with kids or on your own, why dancing counts as real magic, and how your body can be part of your spiritual practice instead of something you have to manage or deny.

A tarot pull, the Eight of Wands, ties it together with one message: communicate clearly and do it now. We explore what you’re holding back, how direct words can transform a stuck situation, and why being more yourself is worth the nerves. We also go deep on moon magic and lunar cycles, including a more inclusive set of moon phase archetypes: Wild One, Warrior, Nurturer, and Elder, plus how to track moon phases alongside sleep, mood, and daily life.

If you like witchcraft, tarot, moon phases, Beltane rituals, or astrology-inspired self-growth, subscribe, share this with a witchy friend, and leave a review so more people can find us. What’s your favorite song to dance to under the moon?

  19. Stop Inviting Spirits Over Without A Plan

Taurus season always tells the truth through the body. I share why the days leading up to my birthday can feel like a full-on skin shed, then why the rest of the season brings me back to confidence, glow, and steady energy.

Our tarot pull is the Two of Swords, and it lands like a gentle challenge: are you spending enough time alone with your own thoughts, or are you trapped in your head and spiraling. We talk boundaries in a totally connected world, what it looks like to protect your focus, and how news and social media can hijack your nervous system before your feet even hit the floor. Taurus season gives us a practical fix: feed your senses on purpose so your intuition can breathe.

Then we go deep on spiritual protection and casting a circle, including why so many Ouija board stories end badly when people dabble without protection or a closing practice. I walk through common signs your energy is too open, why empaths and tarot readers need consistent psychic protection, and simple options you can actually use daily: evil eye jewelry, talismans, protective crystals like obsidian or tourmaline, black salt, prayer, and calling on Archangel Michael. The biggest takeaway is simple and powerful: cleanse first, then protect.

If this resonates, subscribe, share it with a witchy friend who needs stronger boundaries, and leave a review so more people can find Cozy Coven Chat. What’s your go-to protection practice right now?

  20. Aries New Moon Reset: Let's Harness the Flame

The energy has been heavy for a lot of us, and I can feel the collective need for a clean restart. This week’s Cozy Coven chat leans into the Aries new moon on April 17, a fire-sign reset that nudges us out of winter sluggishness and back into movement. I share a simple new moon candle magic practice to invite fresh momentum, clear obstacles, and light that inner flame again, especially if you have felt like you are treading through sand.

We also pull the Ace of Cups from the Magical Hours Tarot, and it lands perfectly with the lunar theme: emotional beginnings, heart healing, and the brave act of asking yourself how you really feel. I talk about why this card matters for intuition, self-care, and making choices that actually nourish you, not just choices that look good on paper. If you love tarot, astrology, or modern witchcraft, this pairing of Aries fire and Cup energy is a powerful way to set intentions that stick.

Then we zoom out into divergent witchcraft basics that too many people skip: the elements. Earth, air, fire, water, and spirit show up everywhere, from calling quarters and casting a circle to the pentacle, tarot suits, seasonal magic, and spell correspondences. I share different ways practitioners place elements in the compass directions, why you do not need deity devotion to do strong magic, and how elemental work can make protection less draining by connecting you to a larger current of energy.

Subscribe, share this with a friend who needs a spark, and leave a review with the element you are focusing on right now.
