Every Album Ever with Mike Mansour

Music, Music Commentary

Failing musician and music-lover Michael Mansour dissects a different album every week and an entire discography once a month. ALL their albums…even the ones they wish you forgot. On those episodes, Mike picks that artist's best and worst albums, in addition to his personal favorites and least favorites. He's also sometimes joined by musician and music journalist Tom Osman, his brother Robert, and even members of the bands themselves.

Come get down with the sickness with us every Tuesday at noon PT.

    Show notes

Today we're discussing the debut album by English post-punk band Killing Joke. 2. A Once in a Generation Metal Band | Ep. 260: Mastodon

    Episode 260

    Show notes

Today we're discussing every album by legendary metal band Mastodon. Formed by Troy Sanders, Brent Hinds, Bill Kelliher, and Brann Dailor, Mastodon is one of the most creative and constantly evolving metal bands of all time. Their most recent album, Marrow Deep, is the band's first album without Brent, following his departure and subsequent death in 2025. Despite the loss, Mastodon continues to push and evolve.

    Episode 259

    Show notes

Today we're breaking down every album by Bitch Magnet, one of the most underrated post-hardcore bands of all time. Made up of core members Sooyoung Park, Jon Fine, and Orestes Morfin, Bitch Magnet didn't make a huge splash during their initial run in the late 80s/early 90s. But a successful reunion in 2011 reminded the world of just how ahead of their time they were. This is an essential band for any post-hardcore fan and one of the most underrated bands we've covered on this channel.

  15. The First Ever Indie Album Is Still the Best | You're Living All Over Me by Dinosaur Jr.

    Show notes

Today we're discussing Dinosaur Jr's first album, You're Living All Over Me. Released in 1987 on SST records, You're Living All Over Me is one of the most beloved rock albums of all-time and largely responsible for the formation of alt rock, indie, and shoegaze. Here, J Mascis, Lou Barlow, and Murph crafted some of the most original and impassioned rock, with no shortage of hooks, as well as ear-piercing chaos.

  18. The Overlooked Masters of Noise Rock | Ep. 254: Laughing Hyenas

    Episode 254

    Show notes

I listened to every album by Laughing Hyenas. Formed in Ann Arbor, Michigan by John Brannon (of hardcore punk band Negative Approach) and Larissa Strickland (of L-Seven) in 1984, Laughing Hyenas were a noise rock band who fused elements of garage rock, punk, blues, and Birthday Party insanity. Their struggles with heroin led to chaos as the years went on, including Brannon vomiting on Drew Barrymore right before a show.
