  1. Witches, Wet Dreams & Wicked Ways

    Season 2, Episode 40

    Show notes

Things are getting a little freaky at Good Moms Bad Choices, and we're not just talking about ghosts.

This week, Erica and Milah are getting into all things spooky, sexy, and slightly unhinged. From the real-life legend of the Annabelle doll and haunted houses to the possibility of bringing unwanted spirits home in your thrifted clothes, this Halloween episode has us questioning what goes bump in the night.

But the supernatural isn't the only thing haunting us. Erica is touch-starved and has officially entered her cuddle era, while Milah is advocating for naked cuddle parties. Is it possible to crave intimacy without wanting sex? And why are we still cuffing when we could just be cuddling?

Plus, we're sharing creepy paranormal encounters, wild sexual confessions, Ouija board conversations, Halloween horror stories, and a little tarot to close things out.

So grab your favorite witch, light a candle, and get comfortable. Between the ghosts, the orgasms, and the questionable decisions, somebody might need an exorcism.

Stay spooky, stay wicked, and keep making bad choices!

    Happy Halloween!

  2. Surviving Abuse & Taking Back Power ft. Ruthelia Davis

    Season 2, Episode 39

    Show notes

TRIGGER WARNING / CONTENT ADVISORY: This episode contains sensitive discussions of domestic violence, physical and emotional abuse, stalking, harassment, mental health crises, and trauma. Some experiences shared may be distressing or triggering. Please prioritize your well-being and listen at your own discretion.

If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic violence, contact the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 800-799-SAFE (7233) or visit thehotline.org.

This week on Good Moms Bad Choices, Erica and Milah welcome makeup artist, creative director, and outspoken content creator Ruthelia for a raw, unfiltered conversation about domestic violence, toxic relationships, betrayal, and finding the courage to speak your truth.

In her podcast debut, Ruthelia opens up about surviving an abusive relationship, the manipulation that kept pulling her back, and the moment she burned her marriage license just 30 days before her wedding. She shares her experience with alleged stalking, online harassment, mental health struggles, and the complicated reality of leaving someone you've built a life with.

The conversation explores recognizing red flags, navigating dating after heartbreak, protecting our daughters, breaking cycles of abuse, and why women should never have to stay silent to protect the people who hurt them.

Plus, Ruthelia shares the dating disaster that led to her bad choice of the week, what her father taught her about relationships, and how she turned her voice and makeup platform into a space for unapologetic conversations.

  3. The Dark Side of Reinvention Ft. Entity

    Season 2, Episode 38

    Show notes

What happens when you stop being the woman everyone expects you to be?

This week on Good Moms Bad Choices, Erica and Milah welcome back Entity (formerly Miala), an artist, mother, and spiritual priestess, for an unfiltered conversation about motherhood, heartbreak, reinvention, sexuality, and unapologetic self-expression.

Entity opens up about her transformation from farm life to alternative music, the heartbreak that inspired her new sound, and why people are so uncomfortable when women evolve beyond the version they first met. The ladies discuss raising teenage daughters, talking to kids about sex, teaching girls to protect themselves, and why we're not having enough conversations about raising better boys.

They also get into co-parenting, dating after heartbreak, the double standards placed on spiritual women, and why being a mother doesn't mean losing your identity.

Plus, Entity reveals how she sued Instagram after her account was deleted and says she walked away with her page AND $10K. And somehow, the conversation takes a wild turn into birth control, removing your own IUD, and unpaid utility bills.

From breaking generational patterns to embracing every version of yourself, this episode is a reminder that women don't have to choose between being mothers, sexual beings, spiritual women, and whoever the hell else they want to be.

  4. Why You Don’t Feel Like Yourself Anymore Ft. Solaris

    Season 2, Episode 37

    Show notes

What if you’re not lost... you’re actually becoming someone new?

This week, Erica and Milah sit down with astrologer, metaphysical educator and High Priestess Solaris for a deep conversation about spiritual awakening, astrology, religion, intuition, self-trust and what happens when the beliefs you were raised with no longer feel true.

Solaris opens up about turning to Christianity when she was struggling spiritually, only to repeatedly be labeled as having a “Jezebel spirit” while she was celibate and genuinely searching for help and community. After eventually feeling pushed out of the church, she began questioning everything she had been taught and found her way into astrology, numerology and tarot.

The ladies get into religious conditioning, the fear and shame that can remain in your body even after your beliefs change, why questioning what you were taught can feel terrifying, and what happens when you stop giving your power away and begin trusting your own intuition.

Then Solaris gets into the astrology of it all.

She breaks down Erica and Milah’s progressed charts and explains why your energy can change throughout your life, why you may suddenly stop relating to the person you used to be, and how those shifts can show up in your career, relationships, friendships, communication and the way you love.

And things get VERY personal when the charts start revealing what may be next for Erica and Milah... in love, work, their friendship and more.

Plus, the ladies talk about the Age of Aquarius, getting quiet enough to actually hear yourself, social media and distraction, nontraditional relationships, marriage, visibility wounds, self-devotion and why believing in yourself might be one of the most powerful spiritual practices of all.

  5. Confidence Is the Cheat Code Ft Raven Goodwin

    Season 2, Episode 36

    Show notes

Actress Raven Goodwin joins Erica and Milah for an honest, hilarious, and vulnerable conversation about growing up in Hollywood, becoming a mother, postpartum identity, money, body confidence, and learning how to find yourself again after kids.

Raven opens up about moving to Los Angeles at 12 to pursue acting, the pressure of becoming a working child actor, and how those experiences now shape how she protects her own children.

She also gets real about motherhood after two emergency C-sections, having two kids in four years and the emotional reality of trying to reconnect with herself postpartum. Raven shares the moment she crashed after her daughter's first birthday and found herself asking a question so many mothers know too well: Who am I now?

The ladies also get into their evolving relationships with money, growing up without financial literacy, building wealth as Black women, marriage, raising confident Black children, breaking generational parenting cycles, and why Raven refuses to let Hollywood decide how she should feel about her body.

Plus, Raven talks about being a plus-size Black woman in entertainment, why she believes she can change a casting director's mind when she walks into a room, the affirmations she gives her children every morning, and why moms need to learn to love on themselves the same way they love on their kids.

And of course, it wouldn't be Good Moms Bad Choices without tequila, sex positions, motherhood confessions, and a little tarot.

  6. Celebrate Single Motherhood Ft Jamilah Lemieux

    Season 2, Episode 35

    Show notes

What if being a single mother wasn’t something women had to defend—but something worth celebrating?

This week, Erica and Milah sit down with writer, cultural critic, and author Jamilah Lemieux for an honest, hilarious, and unapologetic conversation about Black single motherhood, dating, co-parenting, raising daughters, friendship, sex, and letting go of the shame attached to being a “baby mama.”

Jamilah opens up about her own journey as a single mother and how writing about Black single moms completely transformed the way she sees single motherhood. What started as a desire to defend single mothers turned into something much bigger: giving them their flowers.

The ladies get into what actually makes someone a “single mom,” why having an active co-parent doesn’t erase the realities of running your own household, and why struggling should never be treated as a requirement for single motherhood.

They also talk about the stigma attached to the words “baby mama,” why women are still judged by their relationship status, dating and sex as a mother, raising daughters without shame, and the freedom that comes when you stop performing motherhood for other people.

Plus, Jamilah shares why she spent years thinking she needed a man when what she really needed was girlfriends, why your mother-led household is already a family, and why the single mother revolution may just be getting started.

And because this is Good Moms Bad Choices, things get a little unhinged along the way—from sex work and stripper conversations with your kids to dating, dick size, motherhood, and everything women are usually told not to say out loud.

  7. How to ACTUALLY Become the Woman You Want to Be

    Season 2, Episode 34

    Show notes

What if becoming the woman you want to be isn’t about waiting for your life to change, but learning how to be her now? This week, Erica and Milah sit down with Mimi Bouchard, founder of Activations and author of Activate Your Future Self, for a conversation about manifestation, self-image, motherhood, pregnancy, relationships, money, and becoming the version of yourself you actually want to be.

    Try Activations:

    activations.com/goodmoms

Two-week free trial + special Good Moms offer

Mimi opens up about the low point that pushed her into personal development, how she transformed her relationship with herself, and why visualization alone isn’t enough. She breaks down her two-step approach to transformation: getting clear on your future self and then finding ways to embody her in your everyday life.

The ladies also get real about pregnancy and identity, preparing for motherhood, birth expectations, giving yourself grace when life doesn’t go according to plan, and the pressure women put on themselves to constantly have it together.

Plus, Mimi shares why we need more “aliveness” and less numbing, how social media and constant consumption disconnect us from ourselves, why romanticizing the chapter you’re in matters, and how she and her husband grew into the relationship they have today.

And, of course, we close with an affirmation and Tarot Time, and the cards have a very fitting message about money, abundance, and new beginnings.

    Season 2, Episode 33

    Show notes

Dating red flags, relationship scammers, social media personas, and trusting your intuition. Erica and Milah are breaking down how to spot the signs before you get got.

This week, the Good Moms get into Erica’s return to dating, the lessons she’s already learning as a newly single mom, and whether men and women can really have platonic friendships. Then it’s time for the “news of the Instagrams,” including the fake NFL player accused of scamming women, Yada Awakening, performative relationships, internet experts, and the danger of believing everything someone sells you online.

Plus, Erica and Milah react to Raven-Simoné and get into interracial relationships, cultural understanding, and what it means to be with someone who may never fully understand your lived experience.

The lesson this week? Stop being a slave to the image, trust your gut, strengthen your “real nigga radar,” and sometimes… get off the internet and touch some grass.

  10. Single Moms Are Back Outside!

    Season 2, Episode 31

    Show notes

Erica and Milah talk about single motherhood, dating, raising daughters, and parenting in the age of social media. As their girls get older, the Good Moms are officially entering their “stern mom era” and questioning how much parents should push their kids to succeed while still giving them space to become themselves.

They get into kids and technology, education, social media, and beauty standards for young girls after seeing a second grader wearing a lace front. How young is too young for wigs, nails, and grown-up beauty trends? And what are moms unintentionally teaching their daughters through the way they talk about their own bodies?

Then Erica is officially back outside. She joins Raya, accepts the Slutty Summer Challenge, talks about navigating dating as a single mom, and reveals why her daughter has decided her mother should remain a “Single Pringle.”

  11. Talking to Kids About Sex

    Season 2, Episode 30

    Show notes

Welcome back! Erica and Milah are officially entering a new era of motherhood: raising daughters through middle school, puberty, changing bodies, and conversations about sex and consent.

As their girls grow up, the Good Moms unpack what it means to parent differently than they were parented. They talk about body autonomy, boundaries, pleasure, sexual shame, safety, and how to have honest, age-appropriate conversations with your kids even when you don't have all the answers yourself.

In this episode, you can expect to hear:

    • Milah’s emotional first middle-school drop-off

    • Navigating puberty while co-parenting

    • Why you might need to be your kid’s first “gentle bully”

    • Teaching kids about consent, boundaries, and unsafe behavior

    • Why “stranger danger” doesn't tell kids the whole story

    • Raising girls without shame around their bodies and sexuality

    • Talking about crushes, pleasure, and self-exploration

    • Breaking generational patterns around sex and womanhood

    • Why boy moms need to be having these conversations too

    • Back-to-school baby daddy drama, middle-school memories, and gray pubes

Because the “sex talk” isn't really one talk, and waiting until your kids are ready to have it might mean waiting too long.

Check out Jess' book Til Death Do We Parent !

    Summary:

Before Jess Hilarious ever had dreams of telling jokes in front of sold-out arenas across the country, being featured on Wild-’n-Out, or becoming a cohost on The Breakfast Club, Jess dreamt of marrying her high school sweetheart and raising a family together in their hometown of Baltimore, Maryland. In hopes that having her partner’s child would solidify this outcome, Jess became pregnant at nineteen but begrudgingly learned that the vision she had for her life—as a wife and mother—would have to be reimagined.

After multiple attempts at a relationship between her and her son’s father failed, Jess accepted that, while they would never get married, they were forever linked by the lifetime commitment of raising a child together. With her trademark wit and perspective, Jess shares her experiences with valuable and vulnerable insight for coparents who struggle with what it means to put their children first while protecting them from the ups and downs of adult relationships. ’Til Death Do We Parent is an inspirational journey to coparenting with ease and humor.
