High School Heroes | Episode 2: Andre Woolcock
Show notes
“You had me at three meals.”
Before Dr. Andre Woolcock became Eastside’s head football coach, he says he was fresh out of college, couldn’t find a job, his car had broken down and he was sleeping on friends’ couches.
Then a phone call changed the direction of his life.
On Episode 2 of High School Heroes, Woolcock joins Trey Stewart and Joel FitzPatrick to share the story of how a graduate assistant opportunity at North Greenville unexpectedly started his coaching career.
He also opens up about his faith, the criticism that comes with being a head coach, the people who helped him through his toughest seasons and why he believes character and academics can open just as many doors for young athletes as talent.

High School Heroes | Episode 1: Sinclair Cannon
Season 1, Episode 1
Show notes
Episode 1: Sinclair Cannon
What was it really like playing quarterback at Greer High when the whole town was behind you?
High School Heroes starts with a name Greer football fans know well. Sinclair Cannon joins Joel & Trey to go back to his playing days at Greer High, including the games he still remembers, the pressure and expectations that come with wearing the Greer uniform and what it meant to play for a community that lived and breathed high school football.
But this one isn’t just about old football stories. Sinclair talks about how his perspective on the game has changed, what he’s learned from coaching and why there’s a lot more to developing players than just the X’s and O’s.
Greer football then. Greer football now. And plenty of stories in between.
