  8. Is Bo Nix Cooked? Caleb Williams, Mike Evans Injury & NFL Week 6 Reactions | Wednesday Whine

    Show notes

Nick from New York reacts to the week's biggest NFL podcasts. He agrees with The Mina Kimes Show that the 49ers offense falls apart without Mike Evans, and with Daniel Jeremiah on Move the Sticks that the Raiders should be patient with Fernando Mendoza. Then he pushes back on the idea of the Eagles trading for Kirk Cousins after the Jalen Hurts injury, and on The Ringer NFL Show's take that Bo Nix is cooked after Ryan Fitzpatrick's postgame rant. Plus what the podcasts are saying about the NFL's best young players: Caleb Williams' third-year leap, Kyler Gordon's three-sack game, Carson Schwesinger, Germie Bernard's Steelers rookie record, Jaylin Noel and Sonny Styles.

  11. The Monday Sunday Recap

    Show notes

Week 4 is in the books. The Bills handed the Patriots a 29-26 win in Buffalo, and Greg Rousseau was the only one who showed up. The Giants beat Arizona to take sole possession of first place in the NFC East, just like Nick said they would. Houston's defense gave up 34 to Dallas and CeeDee Lamb's 17 catches, and the Texans are 0-4. Joe Burrow threw for 428 yards, lost both of his star receivers to injury, and lost to Jacksonville anyway. In the late window, Kenneth Walker ran for 177 yards to push his league lead past 100 yards as the Chiefs handed the Raiders their first loss, the Vikings got to 4-0 without scoring a touchdown, and Tetairoa McMillan went for 192 on Sunday night. Plus a preview of Falcons at Saints on Monday Night Football, with a share of first place in the NFC South on the line.

  12. Draft Crush Check-In

    Show notes

My Draft Crushes are the twelve players from the last three draft classes I was banging the table for before draft night. For each one, we look at the numbers that matter most at his position, stack him up against his own draft class and the rest of the league, and revisit his signature plays. From 2024: Byron Murphy's nine run stops, Ladd McConkey's return to rookie form, Cole Bishop's one-handed interception against the Saints and T'Vondre Sweat's move to the Jets. From 2025: Donovan Ezeiruaku, Defensive Rookie of the Year Carson Schwesinger, Jacob Parrish and Jalen Royals. And the rookies: KC Concepcion, Jacob Rodriguez (who leads all NFL linebackers in stops), R Mason Thomas and fourth-round steal Keionte Scott.

  13. Twelve Young Players Already Playing Like Veterans

    Show notes

Which young players are playing the best football three weeks into the season? We went through the last three draft classes and picked twelve. The 2024 class is playing for its first big contracts, and while the famous quarterbacks struggle, Dallas Turner, Brock Bowers, Edgerrin Cooper and Bo Nix are making their case. From the 2025 class, Mason Graham has gone from half a sack as a rookie to four in three games, and Tyler Shough, Matthew Golden and Bhayshul Tuten have all taken a leap. And while the No. 1 overall pick hasn't played a snap, rookies Jacob Rodriguez, David Bailey, Anthony Hill Jr. and Hezekiah Masses are running September.

  14. Case Keenum and the Kids Stun the Eagles

    Show notes

The Bears had no Caleb Williams and no Tyson Bagent, so they started a 38-year-old third-stringer on Monday Night Football and handled the Eagles 27-7 anyway. Case Keenum threw two touchdowns and snuck in a third, becoming just the second quarterback to win starts for seven different teams. First-round rookie Dillon Thieneman picked off Andy Dalton's only pass of the night in the end zone, and Philly managed 62 yards of offense in the second half. (Also: a gentle reminder that betting on football is not a responsible financial strategy.)

Then we look at the first- and second-year players making an impact three weeks in: Cleveland's loaded rookie class, the Raiders' ball-hawking rookie Hezekiah Masses, Travis Hunter's first career pick, and the sophomores who are struggling. We finish with all eight division races and the Week 4 games that matter most, including an unbeaten showdown between the Chiefs and Raiders in Vegas.
