63: I'm Quitting My Job as a Content Creator | Here's Why and What Things Will Look Like Moving Forward
Show notes
Hey friends and welcome to a new era of the Messy Motherhood Podcast!
Over the last year or so, I have felt a gentle nudge to step out of my role as a content creator and to be more present at home with my family. What started out as a soft and gentle nudge turned into a nudge that could no longer be ignored so this is me stepping into this new role and taking you along with me!
What does this mean for everything moving forward? Well, I'm glad that you asked because that's what today's episode is all about! From your end- there may not be a big shift, but on my end there are copious amounts of relief and peace that are currently flooding my soul.
The content of the show is not changing, but the aesthetic of the show is taking a slight shift and will be a little more fluid and organic versus feeling super polished and put together. I am so excited to dive in on this with you so grab your walking shoes and a cup of coffee because we're going on a bestie walk so I can share all of these new things with you!

62: Realistic Ways to Create a Magical Holiday Season for Your Family
Episode 60
Show notes
"It doesn't have to be perfect in order for it to be beautiful. It doesn't have to be perfect in order for it to be special. It doesn't have to be perfect in order for it to be memorable. It's not about everything being perfect. It's about everyone being together and making memories. Focus on being present, not perfect." - Stephanie Booe
The holidays can bring on a whole new level of stress, making us feel inadequate if we don't have picture perfect table scapes or photo worthy trips to the pumpkin patch. If you're already starting to feel the pressure of the holiday season, then go ahead and hit play because this episode is going to be a breath of fresh air.
As you listen, you'll be encouraged to step away from consumer culture and the pressure to overspend, overcommit, and oversaturate your holiday season with unnecessary "stuff." Instead, you'll be inspired to have slower and more intentional holidays with simple traditions that are geared towards bringing you together as a family. Running out of ideas or feeling like you have no idea where to start? No worries, mama. I have you covered. I have a full list of easy, yet effective ideas to help you intentionally pour into your family from October to December.
Somewhere along the way, we all got so caught up in overcommitting and overspending during the holiday season. We don't want to get to January feeling like we just ran a full marathon, exhausted and wondering how much money we spent. Instead, I'm bringing a new perspective to the table and I'm challenging our perspective on what really matters during this time. If you've ever felt the unnecessary pressure to create the most magical holiday for your family or your kids, this conversation will help you to feel seen and heard, while guiding you into a new way of holiday living and helping you to maximize your joy this season.

53: What Infertility Really Looks Like | The Moments We Don't Talk About
Episode 53
Show notes
June is World Infertility Awareness Month and in honor of that, I wanted to bring a real and relatable conversation to the show where we could openly talk about all of the moments we don't normally talk about.
Infertility is hard and it can often feel lonely and isolating. I know this because I've lived it and it's been some of the hardest moments of my entire life. When people think of infertility they probably think it's a devastating experience, but don't really or truly understand what it actually *looks* like.
In today's episode, we're pulling back the curtain and talking about the moments you don't see. The crying in the bathroom, the praying during sex, the breakdown in the car on the way to a friend's baby shower - all of the moments where you feel utterly alone. I'm here to tell you today that you are not alone and you don't have to go through this alone. This episode is to help the infertile community to feel seen while helping the fertile community to better understand.
If any of this is resonating with you already, then hit play because this episode is for you. I've got my coffee and I'm ready to welcome you when you're ready because it's time to get messy.

52: 5 Easy Summer Encouragements for Moms | Permission to Have a Good Summer Without Doing it All
Episode 52
Show notes
I know there's a lot of pressure around summer right now and feeling like we have to show up and do it all in order to create magical memories for our kids.
In this episode, we are debunking this myth and, instead, leaning into a slower summer with our kids. This whole episode sparked by the realization that every time I opened social media, I saw some sort of "summer theme" being pushed at me. Whether it was a "hot mom summer," " 90s mom summer," "butter mom summer," and so on.
I've been thinking about this a lot and instead of finding a theme that resonates with what I want to do this summer, I decided to just have a "summer" summer with my kids. One where we release the pressure to show up and perform like a cruise director every minute of every day. Instead, I'm going to put my phone down, turn on the hose, open a popsicle, throw water balloons with my kids, and forget the rest.
Let this episode be your permission slip to slow down this summer and really spend some intentional time with your kids doing simple things with big meaning like serving ice cream for breakfast on a random Tuesday or sitting in a field looking at stars one summer night.
We talk about this all and more in this week's episode so grab your drink of choice and meet me on the couch, it's time to get messy!

51: The Unfiltered Parenting Conversation You NEED to Hear on Potty Training, Parenting, and More with Jamie Glowacki
Episode 48

Go ahead and save this episode because you're going to want to come back to this again and again. Today we're talking about how social media impacts our parenting, potty training, parenting hot takes, and so much more.
Before our conversation, I gathered a handful of questions from my community on Instagram and I brought them up in our conversation so Jamie could give us her perspective. Not only did she answer in the question in thorough detail, but she also gave us a bunch of examples and tools to help us to move forward confidently in our parenting.
This is the parenting advice and encouragement every parent needs to hear. I've listened to this many times as it went through editing and every time I listen, I learn something new! 50: 6 Things I Wish I Would've Known About a Failed Embryo Transfer Before Having One
Episode 48
Show notes
In February of this year, my husband and I experienced a failed embryo transfer and it was absolutely devastating.
We didn't know what to do, what to grieve, or how to move forward with our protocol. Now that we are a few months out from this experience, I can confidently say that we've learned a lot, grieved a lot, cried a lot, and grown a lot. It's one of the hardest things we've ever been through and unfortunately, there aren't a lot of resources or support out there to help those who go through this which is a big reason why I wanted to bring this conversation to the podcast.
In today's episode we're going to be talking about six things I wish we would've known before having a failed transfer in hopes to make others feel less alone. We'll also talk about how you can cope through this or support someone going through it.

Mother's Day is coming soon and as special as this holiday is, it also comes with a lot of emotions that can be so hard for so many people. For the sake of today's conversation, we focus mainly on the aspect of infertility and those who are struggling to conceive.
