    Show notes

Brewers reporter Curt Hogg and host JR Radcliffe take a stroll back through October 2026, re-living the moments from a World Series triumph, a dominant NLCS and thrilling NLDS, not to mention a celebratory parade Oct. 30 in Milwaukee. The Brewers are World Series champions for the first time in franchise history, and we're still basking in the glow of it all.

  2. WORLD SERIES GAME 5 MAGIC: The Milwaukee Brewers are world champions

    Show notes

The Milwaukee Brewers have won the 2026 World Series. It happened. It's real. It's first of its kind. With a 4-1 win over the Tampa Bay Rays, the Brewers secured the series, 4-1, for the first championship in franchise history. Brewers reporter Curt Hogg and host JR Radcliffe try to revisit the events as best they can from the Tampa airport; expect more from the Microbrew podcast in the coming days.

William Contreras is World Series MVP. Cooper Pratt was sensational. Brice Turang, Jacob Misiorowski and Trevor Megill all shined. Aaron Ashby and Jackson Chourio were huge in the series. Everything came up Brewers throughout their 11-2 postseason, and now you can bask in the glow of the triumph. Everything has led to this.

  3. WORLD SERIES GAME 4 HEARTBREAK: Rays walk it off after Brewers get tantalizingly close to title (10.28.2026)

    Show notes

Game 4 wasn't nearly as fun as the first three. Host JR Radcliffe gives a quick spin through a heartbreaking extra-inning loss to the Rays, a 4-3 setback after Cooper Pratt's home run gave the Brewers the lead in the top of the 12th. Milwaukee's bullpen all showed up but leaves the team taxed for a Game 5 contest less than 24 hours later. Errors play a big role yet again, although David Hamilton atoned for his with his second postseason home run. It all set the stage for Cooper Pratt to be the unlikely hero, but the Brewers couldn't seal the deal behind Shane Drohan. There are plenty of good signs to suggest it's just delaying the inevitable, though it does keep the Brewers from making history as the first team to sweep best-of-7 championship series and World Series. But Jacob Misiorowski is on deck.

  4. WORLD SERIES GAME 3 BLOWOUT: Immediately legendary eight-run rally puts Brewers on the doorstep of immortality (10.27.2026)

    Show notes

The next win will give the Milwaukee Brewers a World Series title for the first time in franchise history. A 10-1 beatdown at Tropicana Field in Florida allowed Milwaukee to finally breathe easy on its run of postseason nail-biters, with an historic eight-run rally in the fifth and a pitching staff (led by Robert Gasser) that faced the minimum through eight. To top it all off, Brandon Woodruff made his way back to the mound and appeared in a World Series game, a feel-good finish on a night with huge Milwaukee fan presence in St. Petersburg. The Tampa Bay Rays could still do something no other team has done in the history of baseball, and that's rally back from a 3-0 series deficit. Absent that, Milwaukee, you will have your first World Series crown.

  5. WORLD SERIES GAME 2 THRILLER: Brewers rally back from 4-0 deficit and are two wins away from a dream (10.25.2026)

    Show notes

Two wins away from glory. The Milwaukee Brewers once again followed a familiar formula: Down early, defensive miscue, rally anyway, a dash of power and incredible work from the bullpen. For the second straight night, the team won a one-run World Series game, a 5-4 victory that required a rally back from a 4-0 deficit in the first. Special guest Tom Haudricourt, a longtime beat reporter at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, joins host JR Radcliffe to discuss the surreal circumstances of being so close to a title. Plus: Aaron Ashby shoves again, Sal Frelick (!!) homers, Cooper Pratt atones for an earlier misplay and the Brewers, yet again, find a way.

    Show notes

After some tense moments in the ninth inning, the Milwaukee Brewers prevail with a nail-biting 3-2 win over the Tampa Bay Rays in Game 1 of the 2026 World Series. Brewers reporter Curt Hogg and host JR Radcliffe give the game a breakdown, from the craziness of the ninth to the big performances by William Contreras, Jackson Chourio and others. What about the news that Brandon Woodruff made the World Series roster, even though he hasn't pitched in a game since July? How do we rate Jacob Misiorowski's five innings? Can you believe you just got to see the Brewers in the World Series?

  7. Good morning! The Brewers play in the World Series today (10.23.2026)

    Show notes

You've made it to see the Milwaukee Brewers play in the World Series again in your lifetime. It'll be Jacob Misiorowski against Nick Martinez tonight as the Brewers and the Rays square off for all the marbles, starting with Game 1 at American Family Field. Before the moment Milwaukee has waited for, Thursday marked media day, where players chatted about the challenge ahead. Hear from Christian Yelich, Brandon Woodruff, Aaron Ashby and Garrett Mitchell, but before that, host JR Radcliffe sits down with announcer Jeff Levering to discuss his already-unforgettable NLCS clincher call, how he got here, how he's preparing for the big moment and how Bob Uecker lingers over everything this franchise does.

  8. It's the Tampa Bay Rays in the World Series, plus some greatest hits from the archives (10.21.2026)

    Show notes

The Milwaukee Brewers know their opponent in the World Series: The Tampa Bay Rays, a fellow small-market (ish) team that has yet to win a World Series in franchise history. Brewers reporter Curt Hogg and host JR Radcliffe take a look at the matchup, including two key familiar names in starting pitchers Drew Rasmussen and Freddy Peralta. They look at the hitters, the vibes and more with Game 1 of the World Series on its way Friday.

Then, take a stroll back in time to hear some recent history from past episodes, including a 2023 episode in which the duo discussed the hiring of Pat Murphy (and initial trade for Jake Bauers), the 2024 post-mortem after the wild-card loss to the Mets and the 2025 episode in which the Dodgers swept the Brewers in the NLCS.

  9. What was Milwaukee like when the Milwaukee Braves won the 1957 World Series? (10.20.2026)

    Show notes

The last time Milwaukee won a World Series, it took seven dramatic games, an otherworldly performance from a starting pitcher and even a walk-off home run. But they weren't the Brewers. Rich Schabowski, a driving force in the Milwaukee Braves Historical Society, offers a look back at the 1957 championship, and 1958 World Series runner-up finish and the general legacy of the Braves, who never had a losing season in 13 years in Milwaukee but left for Atlanta anyway.

  11. NLCS Game 4: Oh my God, the Brewers won the pennant (10.15.2026)

    Show notes

Milwaukee, you have a World Series! The Brewers rallied back from a 4-0 deficit against the Dodgers in Game 4 of the NLCS on Thursday and won, 6-4, sealing off a stunning four-game sweep that gets the Brewers back to the Fall Classic for the first time since 1982. Jake Bauers was named NLCS MVP after yet another huge performance, and Aaron Ashby threw three shutout innings yet again in his star-turn postseason. We'll get to more analysis and breakdown, but this one is about you, Milwaukee. Marinate in the moment by hearing stories from people who wrote us about what a Brewers World Series would mean to them.

    35 min
  12. NLCS Game 3: Jake Bauers with an even more epic at-bat ignites another win. The World Series is one win away (10.14.2026)

    Show notes

The Milwaukee Brewers are in the endgame now. With a 6-2 win over the Dodgers in Los Angeles on Wednesday, the Brewers are one win away from their first World Series in 44 years. Jake Bauers followed up one of the best at-bats in Brewers history two days earlier with ... an even greater at-bat, an 11th-pitch home run that tilted the scales as Milwaukee rallied back from a 2-1 deficit. Then, Garrett Mitchell added icing on the cake with a back-to-back homer against Blake Snell, who had been dominant to that point. Robert Gasser was great, DL Hall was nails, and holy smokes, we're really on the doorstep. Host JR Radcliffe and special guest co-host Jonathan Judge of Baseball Prospectus break it down, and yes, Judge shares some insight on why his PECOTA rankings didn't see the Brewers as anything close to what they've become.

    43 min
  13. NLCS Game 2: William Contreras, Jake Bauers and the Brewers chase Yamamoto, and they're two wins away from a World Series (10.13.2026)

    Show notes

It was a gargantuan home run by William Contreras, a literally perfect bullpen effort, a 12-pitch at-bat from Jake Bauers, Brice Turang, David Hamilton and Christian Yelich all conspiring to give the Brewers a 7-4 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers on Oct. 12, somehow the biggest margin of victory in this postseason for a team that's now two wins away from the World Series. It's starting to feel like this could actually happen. Brewers reporter Curt Hogg and host JR Radcliffe look at the factors that helped the Brewers win again despite some struggles from their defense and starting pitcher, chasing powerhouse Yoshi Yamamoto out in the third inning and even finding some insurance in the eighth inning for once. Now, they head to Los Angeles on the biggest business trip of all.

    38 min
  14. NLCS Game 1: One more thriller goes the Brewers way with Lara, bullpen shining (10.12.2026)

    Show notes

You didn't think the new series meant any less nail-biting, did you? The Brewers survived another epic with a 2-1 win over the Dodgers in Game 1 of the NLCS, with Brice Turang's homer and Luis Lara's RBI single proving the difference on offense, and a remarkable showing from the Brewers bullpen finishing the deal. Brewers reporter Todd Rosiak and host JR Radcliffe recap the big win, from the great defense (three double plays!) to the lineup decisions that paid off to the surprise contribution of Lara. The Brewers beat Tarik Skubal, the very pitcher they tried to acquire who went to the Dodgers instead, and now they have a 1-0 lead in the NLCS. Can they figure out a way to double-up against Yoshi Yamamoto on Monday?

    21 min
  15. It's NLCS game day! Final thoughts as the Brewers prep for the Dodgers and a special interview with ... JR's son? (10.11.2026)

    Show notes

The Milwaukee Brewers will take on the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 1 of the NLCS at American Family Field on Oct. 11, with a very real chance to reach their first World Series since 1982. Brewers reporter Curt Hogg and host JR Radcliffe set the stage for the showdown. In what areas can the Brewers take advantage of the Dodgers? What happens with Dustin May and Kyle Harrison? Can they still win the series if they don't win Game 1 with Jacob Misiorowski on the hill? Plus: One last look back at an amazing San Diego series in the NLDS.

Then, JR sits down with ... uh, his 14-year-old son, Owen. The idea: Get the thoughts of a Brewers fan who has never known anything but the team's decade of success. Would this be a disappointment if the Brewers don't reach the World Series? Are Milwaukee's youth following this closely? Do they know or care how much the adults have suffered? Spoiler: They do not care about that at all.

  16. How the Brewers can and will beat the Los Angeles Dodgers in the NLCS (10.09.2026)

    Show notes

The Milwaukee Brewers head into a massive test in the National League Championship Series against the Dodgers ... but they just might be the better team. Matt Trueblood, managing editor of Brewer Fanatic and two other MLB team-specific websites, stops by to chat about how the Brewers stack up, what Dodgers weaknesses they might be able to exploit, which players need to step up and how the Padres series win informs where Milwaukee's offense stands right now. Plus, why Matt thinks the Brewers will win the series, and for added news that will make Brewers fans smile, why he doesn't anticipate a work stoppage subtracting games in 2027 and why he the Cubs are in a bit of a jam.

  17. The Brewers are moving on! A tense 3-1 victory in Game 4 eliminates the Padres, and here come the Dodgers (10.08.2026)

    Show notes

The Milwaukee Brewers are headed to the National League Championship Series for a second straight year and third time since 2018, eliminating the San Diego Padres in a wildly tense three-game series with a 3-1 victory on Oct. 7. Host JR Radcliffe is flying solo to discuss the high points of the win, notably Garrett Mitchell's performance with the bat and as the man standing in the way of a game-tying home run. Aaron Ashby delivers a virtuoso performance. Robert Gasser is strong, and the Padres don't get a single hit after the third inning. Sal Frelick, Cooper Pratt and Jackson Chourio all contribute as well, with Mitchell as the star of the show. Now comes the Los Angeles Dodgers, who also won their series over the Braves and will be in Milwaukee for Game 1 on Sunday.

    27 min
  18. More tense drama in Game 3, but this time the Padres prevail; how are we feeling? (10.07.2026)

    Show notes

The Milwaukee Brewers played yet another tense one-run game in the NLDS, but this one went to the Padres, a 4-3 loss Oct. 6 that extended the series to a fourth game. WTMJ radio personality Dominic Cotroneo joins host JR Radcliffe for a late-night recap of the tense finish. A defensive miscue from a struggling Jake Bauers goes under the microscope. William Contreras is white hot (what about that ABS challenge, though?). What comes next for Dustin May? Christian Yelich finally gets off the RBI schneid. Michael King closing a game two days after starting? Mason Miller gone on the paternity list? Adrian Morejón unavailable? The bullpen delivers again, Cooper Pratt has a strong performance and ... David Hamilton is kinda doing great things? Plus a look ahead to Game 4.

    35 min
  19. NLDS Game 2: Jackson Chourio's heroics give Brewers remarkable walk-off win (10.04.2026)

    Show notes

Jackson Chourio's two run single with two outs in the ninth gave the Brewers an unforgettable win over the San Diego Padres and star closer Mason Miller in Game 2 of the NLDS on Sunday, putting the Brewers ahead in the series, 2-0. Host JR Radcliffe and Journal Sentinel reporter Curt Hogg break down the ninth inning of walks that paved a path for glory, Jackson Chourio's place in the Brewers pantheon already, the struggles of the defense, a big game from Sal Frelick and Christian Yelich and more from an unreal night in Milwaukee.

  20. Game 1 of NLDS goes to Brewers. Padres get to Miz, but Chourio, Contreras homer and a roof cable comes in handy (10.04.2026)

    Show notes

Whew, that was a wild one. The Milwaukee Brewers took a 3-2 win over the San Diego Padres in Game 1 of the National League Division Series, surviving narrowly thanks to timely outs from the bullpen, home runs by Jackson Chourio and William Contreras and a major assist from the ground rules at American Family Field. Ty France's sky-high ball off the cables for an out in the ninth inning emerged as the story of the game, but Milwaukee winning on a night when Jacob Misiorowski lasted only four innings gives the Brewers a must-win with a challenging pitching matchup awaiting in Game 2.

Host JR Radcliffe is joined by Brewer Fanatic's Jack Stern to discuss the victory, including what exactly is up with those pitch calls from Contreras for Jacob Misiorowski, Jackson Chourio meeting the moment and more.
