No Más Yes Girls
No Más Yes Girls 🎙️
ENGLISH 🇺🇸
We’re Viviann & Vieney... two first-gen Mexican-American sisters who grew up learning how to be the “good girls.”
Say yes.
Be strong.
Don’t disappoint anyone.
Keep the peace.
And definitely don’t talk about what happens en la casa. 😅
But somewhere along the way, we realized something…
Keeping everyone else happy was costing us ourselves.
So we started asking questions we were never taught to ask.
Why do we feel guilty saying no?
Why is resting so uncomfortable?
Why do we feel responsible for everyone’s feelings?
And how much of who we are… is actually who we were taught to be?
No Más Yes Girls is a bilingual English + Spanish podcast about healing, family, cultura, boundaries, relationships, generational patterns, and all the messy things we’re learning and unlearning along the way.
Some episodes are just us. Some include guests with stories of their own. But every conversation comes back to the same thing: getting curious about what shaped us and deciding what we want to carry forward.
We’re not therapists. We’re not experts.
We’re just two sisters healing, laughing, crying, questioning things, and figuring it out out loud.
For the good girls, the strong ones, las hijas que siempre pudieron con todo…
Maybe it’s finally time to ask:
What happens when you stop being who everyone needed you to be… and start becoming you? 🫶🏽
No decepciones a nadie.
Algunos episodios somos solo nosotras.
No somos terapeutas. No somos expertas.

"De Eso No Se Habla" | Sandra Mabel Guzmán
Season 2, Episode 14
Show notes

She Told the Truth, Our Mexican Family Wasn't Ready to Hear It.
Season 2, Episode 13
Show notes
What happens when you tell the truth about someone in your family and aren’t believed?
In this deeply personal episode of No Más Yes Girls, Viviann shares her experience of childhood sexual abuse by a family member, protecting her younger sister, and living for years without the belief and support she deserved.
Now, at 40, with our parents finally believing and supporting her, she’s choosing to speak publicly about her story.
As Mexican-American sisters, we talk about growing up in a Hispanic household, family silence, and why messages about respect and loyalty need to leave room for honesty, boundaries, and protecting children.
This conversation makes space for the pain of not being believed, what support can look like today, and why these conversations matter in our Latino communities.
🤎 If you recognize yourself in any part of this episode: what happened wasn’t your fault. You deserved protection, and your experience matters whether or not you choose to share it publicly.
Disclaimer: This episode discusses childhood sexual abuse and family responses. Please listen at your own pace and take breaks whenever you need. Please respect Viviann’s privacy and the details she has chosen to keep private.

Lo Que Heredamos de Mamá… y Lo Que Decidimos Cambiar + EXCLUSIVA👀 | Laura & Kelly Maya
Season 2, Episode 12
Show notes
Siguan a Kelly Maya aqui: https://www.instagram.com/kellsmay/
Sigan a Laura Maya aqui: https://www.instagram.com/lauramayac/

Are Our Mexican Dichos Actually Life Lessons? | Healing, Biocoding & Universal Laws
Season 2, Episode 11
Show notes
What if some of the lessons we’re learning about healing… are things our families have been saying for generations? 🤎
In this episode of No Más Yes Girls, we’re having an honest sister check-in about where we are in life, what we’ve been learning, and how much our perspectives on healing, growth, and ourselves have changed.
Vieney has been diving deeper into the **universal laws of life**—and realizing how many of these ideas connect back to the Mexican dichos and sayings we grew up hearing.
You know the ones:
Sometimes our abuelos and parents were explaining life lessons long before we had the vocabulary to understand them. 😂Meanwhile, Viviann has been learning about **biocoding** and using it as a personal reflection tool to look deeper at emotional patterns, past experiences, family dynamics, and what she feels may be underneath some of the things she’s carried for years.
We talk about what these practices have been teaching us, how our understanding of our childhood has changed, the patterns we’re becoming more aware of, and what healing actually looks like for us right now.
Not perfect. Not finished.
Just two Mexican-American sisters realizing that sometimes growth is simply being able to look at the same story with new eyes.In this conversation we talk about:
✨ Universal laws and life lessons
✨ Mexican dichos and generational wisdom
✨ Biocoding and emotional reflection
✨ Healing childhood wounds
✨ Family patterns and generational cycles
✨ First-generation Mexican-American experiences
✨ Self-awareness and personal growth
✨ Learning to question what we were taught
✨ Breaking cycles without blaming our parents
✨ Becoming more intentional about the lives we want to createIf you’re also in a season of questioning, unlearning, healing, or simply getting to know yourself again… bienvenida. 🤎

Se Fue de EE.UU. con $40K de Deuda… y Empezó de Nuevo Después de los 40 | Lorena Miranda Bendeck
Season 2, Episode 10
Show notes
Si alguna vez has pensado:
“Tengo demasiadas deudas.”
“Estoy muy atrasada.”
“¿Qué va a pensar mi familia?”
“¿Y si me equivoco?”
este episodio es para ti. 🤎

She Left the U.S. With $40K in Debt… and Called It a Plan | Lorena Miranda Bendeck
Season 2, Episode 9
Show notes
What if starting over doesn’t mean you failed? What if it means you finally stopped forcing a life that no longer felt like yours?
In this episode of No Más Yes Girls, we sit down with Lorena Miranda Bendeck, creator of Lorena & Her Audacity, @LorenaMirandaBendeck(in all socials) for an honest conversation about what it really looks like to completely change your life after 40. Lorena left the United States, moved to Colombia, and started rebuilding her life while carrying around $40,000 in debt.
Check her out here:
https://linktr.ee/LorenaMirandaBendeck?utm_source=linktree_profile_share<sid=cf84c7e5-dd61-4185-86fa-18e3fd59cec8She didn’t wait until everything was perfect.
She didn’t wait until the fear disappeared.
She didn’t wait until everyone understood her decision.
She simply reached a point where she knew:
Something had to change.
And that’s what makes her story so relatable.
Because starting over doesn’t always look like the pretty “new chapter” we see online.
Sometimes it looks like:
fear,
debt,
uncertainty,
grief,
questioning yourself,
and wondering if you’re making the biggest mistake of your life.
In this conversation, we talk about:
✨ Starting over after 40
✨ Leaving the U.S. and rebuilding a life in Colombia
✨ Carrying $40K in debt while making a major life change
✨ The shame and emotions that can come with money
✨ Feeling like you “should have everything figured out” by a certain age
✨ The fear of what other people will think
✨ People-pleasing and constantly trying to keep everyone comfortable
✨ Feeling guilty when you finally choose yourself
✨ Letting go of an old version of yourself
✨ The grief that can come with positive change
✨ Learning to trust yourself without having every answer
✨ Faith, intuition, and letting go of control
✨ Relationships and how they change when you change
✨ Redefining success as you get older
✨ Learning that peace can sometimes feel unfamiliar after years of survival mode
✨ Having the audacity to be seen while you are still figuring things outOne of the biggest things we talk about is this:
You do not have to hate your life to be allowed to change it. Sometimes nothing is completely “wrong.” You’ve simply grown.
You want something different. The version of you who built that life is not necessarily the same version of you who has to keep living it forever. And choosing a different path does not mean the years before were wasted. Lorena’s story is also a reminder that you don’t need the perfect plan before you begin. Sometimes clarity comes after you take the first step. Sometimes the plan gets built while you’re already walking. And sometimes the very chapter that feels like everything is falling apart becomes the chapter where you finally meet yourself.☕️ Like always, this episode feels less like a formal interview and more like three women sitting around the table with cafecito, talking about money, relationships, fear, faith, culture, starting over, and all the messy parts of choosing yourself.
🎙️ No Más Yes Girls is a bilingual podcast where two sisters have honest conversations about healing, family, identity, boundaries, culture, growth, and learning to choose ourselves without guilt.
If you’ve ever thought:
“I’m too old to start over.”
“I have too much debt.”
“I’m too far behind.”
“What will people say?”
“What if I make the wrong decision?”
this episode is for you.
Because maybe audacity isn’t having no fear.
Maybe audacity is saying:
“I’m scared… but I trust myself enough to figure it out.” 🤎Join our Free Community: https://www.facebook.com/groups/791876950500231

Ya Era Profesionista en México… Pero en EE.UU. Tuve Que Empezar Otra Vez | Estefanía Calvillo
Season 2, Episode 8
Show notes
✨ Llegar a Estados Unidos siendo adulta
✨ Adaptarte a otra cultura y otro sistema
✨ Trabajo, relaciones, amor y crecimiento personal
“Qué padre, te fuiste a Estados Unidos.”
Pero detrás puede haber:
miedo,
soledad,
frustración,
dudas,
nostalgia,
empezar otra vez,

She Retired at 38 as a Multimillionaire… But Money Wasn’t the Hardest Part | Dr. Jacqueline Jarl
Season 2, Episode 7
Show notes
What if financial freedom isn’t just about making more money… but about changing the way you think, feel, and make decisions around it?
In this episode of No Más Yes Girls, we sit down with Dr. Jacqueline “Coach JJ” Jarl, author of My Journey to Financial Freedom: A Memoir of Identity, Healing, and Wealth Building.
Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/jjscoachingservices/
Dr. Jacqueline shares her real journey from financial uncertainty to building a seven-figure net worth in seven years and retiring at just 38 years old as a multimillionaire.
Linkdin: https://www.linkedin.com/company/jj-s-coaching-services/
Website: www. jjscoachingservices.com
But what makes her story so powerful is that it wasn’t just about budgets, spreadsheets, or discipline.
It was also about:
✨ Healing her relationship with money
✨ Changing old beliefs around success and security
✨ Learning how identity affects the way we make financial decisions
✨ Building wealth without losing herself in the process
✨ Becoming more intentional instead of constantly chasing “more”
✨ Learning to trust herself
✨ Redefining what success actually means
✨ Creating a life where money supports her freedom instead of controlling itDr. Jacqueline was raised between Taiwan and the United States, later served as a U.S. Army Intelligence Officer, and went on to hold leadership positions within a Fortune 250 organization.
Through all of those chapters, she learned that outward success doesn’t automatically create inner peace.
You can have the career.
The title.
The paycheck.
The accomplishments.
And still feel uncertain, anxious, or disconnected from what you actually want.
That’s why this conversation goes much deeper than money.
We talk about the emotional side of wealth, identity, healing, career decisions, self-trust, and what happens when you stop building a life based only on what looks successful from the outside.
One of the biggest reminders from this episode is:
Financial freedom isn’t only reaching a number.
It’s being able to make decisions from clarity instead of fear.
It’s knowing what “enough” means for you.
It’s having the freedom to choose how you spend your time, energy, and life.
And sometimes the hardest part isn’t learning how to earn more.
It’s unlearning everything you believed you had to prove first.
☕️ Like always, this episode of No Más Yes Girls isn’t a formal interview. It’s an honest conversation about the woman behind the accomplishments, the lessons she learned the hard way, and the mindset shifts that changed her life.
If you’ve ever thought:
“I’m doing everything I’m supposed to do… so why don’t I feel free yet?”
this conversation is for you. 🤎

Season 2, Episode 6
Show notes
“No contestes.”
“Haz caso.”
“Ayuda en la casa.”
“No hagas enojar a tu papá.”
✨ Tener padres emocionalmente ausentes
✨ Padres mexicanos estrictos
✨ Aprender a poner límites
Podemos amar a nuestros padres.
Simplemente vas aprendiendo mientras avanzas.

Do I actually believe these unwritten rules... or was I taught this? with Jessica Rivera
Season 2, Episode 5
Show notes
What if the rules you’ve been following your whole life were never actually written… but somehow you still learned them?
In this episode of No Más Yes Girls, we sit down with Jessica Rivera, executive coach and business consultant, for a real conversation about the unwritten rules women are taught to follow at work, in relationships, in family, and in life.
You know the ones:
Be nice.
Don’t be difficult.
Don’t ask for too much.
Work hard and someone will notice.
Don’t make people uncomfortable.
Be grateful.
Don’t brag.
Don’t take up too much space. And then one day you realize…
following all of those rules might be the exact thing keeping you small.
Jessica shares her personal journey, the experiences that shaped her, and what she’s learned from helping women advocate for themselves, grow their confidence, navigate corporate spaces, and stop waiting for permission to want more.
make sure to follow Jessica on socials:
https://www.instagram.com/jessicarivera.co/
and checkout her website (click below) for her Get Promoted. Get Paid waitlist!
https://stan.store/Jessicariveraco
In this conversation, we talk about:
✨ Confidence vs. people-pleasing
✨ The “unwritten rules” women grow up following
✨ Learning to advocate for yourself
✨ Why working hard isn’t always enough
✨ Visibility and the fear of being seen
✨ Asking for more without feeling guilty
✨ Self-worth and money
✨ Taking up space without apologizing
✨ Why so many women shrink themselves to make others comfortable
✨ Healing the beliefs that keep us playing small
✨ Success, identity, and learning who you are outside of achievement
✨ What Jessica is still learning and unlearning todayOne of the biggest questions we explore is:
How do you know when you’re being kind… and when you’re abandoning yourself to keep everyone else happy?
Because sometimes being a “good girl,” a good employee, a good daughter, or the person everyone can depend on looks admirable from the outside…
while inside, you’re exhausted from constantly proving yourself.
This episode is a reminder that confidence doesn’t always come before the scary step.
Sometimes confidence is built because you finally took the step while you were still scared.
☕️ Like always, this isn’t a formal interview. It’s a kitchen-table conversation between women talking honestly about work, identity, self-worth, boundaries, and becoming the person you were always allowed to be.
🎙️ Welcome to No Más Yes Girls, a bilingual podcast where two sisters heal out loud and have the conversations many of us grew up avoiding.
If this conversation made you think, “Wow… I do that too,” share it with another person who needs to hear it.🤎

Tuve Que Tocar Fondo Para Escuchar a Dios con Ángel Gonzalez
Season 2, Episode 4
Show notes
A veces viene a despertarnos.
Conectate con Angel: https://www.instagram.com/angel_masajesyenergia?igsh=MWZkc2hvaXl2Z3Z1dg==
Tal vez claridad no significa saber exactamente qué va a pasar.

What Will They Say? with Denise Soler Cox
Season 2, Episode 3
Show notes
What happens when you realize some of the “rules” you grew up following were never actually yours?
In this episode of No Más Yes Girls, we sit down with author, filmmaker, and speaker Denise Soler Cox for an honest conversation about the cultural taboos so many Latina women grow up carrying in silence.
Denise is the author of "What Will They Say? Confront Cultural Taboos and Discover Your Inner Power", a book about the unspoken expectations that can shape the way we see ourselves, our families, our dreams, and even how much space we believe we're allowed to take up.
We talk about things many of us know all too well:
✨ “¿Qué va a decir la gente?”
✨ Keeping family problems inside the home
✨ Being the “good daughter”
✨ People-pleasing and always saying yes
✨ Feeling guilty for choosing yourself
✨ Family loyalty vs. telling your truth
✨ First-generation identity
✨ The mother-daughter relationship
✨ Breaking generational patterns without rejecting our culture
✨ Learning to use your voice after years of staying quietBut this conversation isn't about blaming our families or being ashamed of where we come from.
It’s about asking:
What do I want to keep from the way I was raised… and what am I finally ready to let go of?
Denise also opens up about the personal experiences that shaped her, why telling our stories can be so powerful, and what it means to become a woman who no longer has to make herself smaller to belong.
Make sure to follow her on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/denisesolercox?igsh=MTVkaGRnd2EzZjNzaA==
This wasn't an interview.
It felt like sitting around the kitchen table talking about the things so many of us grew up feeling… but didn't always have the words for.
If you've ever felt caught between loving your family and needing to choose yourself, this conversation is for you.🤍

Tuvimos Que Alejarnos Para Convertirnos en Quienes Somos Hoy Bienvenidos a la 2da Temporada🎙️
Season 2, Episode 2
Show notes
No queremos entrevistas perfectas.
Queremos conversaciones reales.
Tal vez no estabas quedándote atrás.

We Didn't Stop... We Were Becoming | Welcome to Season 2
Season 2, Episode 1

In this episode, we talk about:
• Why rest is not the opposite of growth
• Letting go of the guilt of always needing to be productive
• What we learned during our summer away

Patience Isn’t Waiting… It’s Trusting Without Proof.
Season 1, Episode 31
Show notes
There was a time in my life when I thought patience meant doing nothing… just waiting, hoping, and trying not to feel anxious about the unknown.
But what I’ve come to realize is that patience isn’t passive. It’s one of the hardest forms of trust.
In this episode of No More Yes Girls, we open up about what patience has really looked like in our healing journeys — and how learning to trust the timing of our lives has changed everything.
As sisters, we share honest conversations about the discomfort of waiting, the pressure to rush, and the moments where it felt like nothing was happening… when in reality, everything was unfolding.
In this episode, we explore:
• What patience really is (and what it’s not)
• Why waiting can feel so uncomfortable and anxiety-inducing
• The difference between impatience and misalignment
• How trust and patience are deeply connected
• Letting go of the belief that you’re “behind” in life
• Learning to be patient with your healing and growth
• What it means to live a soft, intentional life without rushing
If you’ve ever felt like you’re falling behind, like things aren’t happening fast enough, or like you’re stuck in a waiting season… this conversation is for you.
Because maybe you’re not behind. Maybe you’re being prepared.
And maybe this season is building something within you that you’ll need later.

Claridad: El Momento en Que Finalmente Me Elijo a Mí
Season 1, Episode 30
Show notes
no estás confundida.
• Cómo tomar acción te ayuda a encontrar claridad
• Qué significa elegirte sin culpa, sin permiso y sin hacerte pequeña
Si te has sentido estancada, indecisa o como si no supieras qué hacer…

Clarity: The Moment I Finally Chose Myself
Season 1, Episode 29
Show notes
There was a moment in my life when I realized…I wasn’t actually confused.
I just didn’t want to accept what I already felt.
In this episode of No More Yes Girls, I open up about what clarity has really looked like in my healing journey — and how it didn’t come from waiting for answers, but from finally being honest with myself.
For a long time, I told myself “I don’t know”…when deep down, I did.
I just knew that if I accepted the truth, I would have to change something — set boundaries, outgrow people, or choose myself in ways that felt uncomfortable.
In this episode, I share:
• Why what I thought was confusion was actually avoidance
• How fear of change kept me stuck in “I don’t know”
• What happened when I started being honest with myself
• How my body was signaling misalignment before I could admit it
• Why clarity felt uncomfortable before it felt peaceful
• How taking action helped me gain clarity
• What choosing myself really looked like in real life
If you’ve been feeling stuck, unsure, or like you don’t know what to do next…
I want you to know you’re not alone. Clarity isn’t something you’re missing.
Sometimes… it’s something you’re avoiding. And once I allowed myself to see clearly… everything started to shift.

Show notes
Your life doesn’t just change because your circumstances change…
it changes when the way you think changes. In this episode of No More Yes Girls, we talk about the power of mindset and how the thoughts you repeat daily shape your emotions, your decisions, and ultimately your life.
As sisters, we open up about our own experiences with unlearning old beliefs, shifting our mindset, and learning to see ourselves and our lives from a more aligned, compassionate perspective.
In this episode, we explore:
• What a mindset really is and how it’s formed
• How limiting beliefs keep us stuck in the same patterns
• The importance of awareness in changing your thoughts
• How to reframe negative thinking without ignoring your reality
• Why mindset + action is key to real transformation
• Giving yourself grace while you unlearn and growIf you’ve ever felt stuck, overwhelmed, or like you keep repeating the same cycles, this conversation will help you understand how changing your mindset can shift your entire reality.
