Week 10 of the TXHSFB season was moving day across all the districts in our area as outcomes began to cement the playoff picture. Randall nabbed a big win over West Plains to put District 2-4A DI up in the air. Tascosa fell to Abilene so they will begin the playoffs on the road. Shallowater handles Dalhart and Boys Ranch grabs their first district title in school history. We also look at Week 11 at several tilts will determine district champs annd playoff seeding. The UIL found a new home for the state championships and WT wins again on the road. Plus, a look at all the bi-district volleyball action across the area as local teams dominate.

It's week 10 of the TXSHFB season with several matchups to watch for including Tascosa hosting Abilene High, Dalhart taking on Shallowater, Randall and West Plains squaring off and will the rain impact games. Regional XC results saw Canyon and Gruver girls and Perryton boys take team titles while several area athletes finished at the top. TAPPS State XC saw Holy Cross grab a state title, a first in school history while Ascension Academy had both teams near the top. West Texas A&M hammered Western New Mexico for homecoming and West Plains alum Reid Macon starred late for the Buffaloes. Week 9 of the TXHSFB season saw Randall top Canyon, Canadian thump Childress and Tulia run all over Hale Center. We cover all the games from the week with news, notes and stats. The UIL had their fall legislative council this week and a number of items were passed including the introduction of the shot clock, home field advantage in the first round of the playoffs and girls flag football. Week 8 of the TXHSFB season was littered with big games and it delivered. Amarillo High took control of District 2-5A DII, West Plains wins a slugfest with Canyon and Shallowater tops Bushland. Palo Duro's defense dominates Wylie and Panhandle uses a big 4th quarter to win. Randall is headed back to state in Team Tennis as they down Canyon in the Regional Finals. District XC and volleyball results and much more.

The landscape for week 8 of the TXHSFB season is littered with big games including AHS/Abilene High, Canyon/West Plains, Bushland/Shallowater and many more. We preview all of the games across the area with news, notes and what to look for in each game. WT and ENMU in the Wagon Wheel game that lacks any luster this year. It was an interesting week 6 of the TXHSFB season as we review all the area scores. Amarillo High may be the best team in District 2-5A DI while Palo Duro rolls Abilene Cooper in DII. Dalhart looks good in upsetting Canadian and Gruver looks like a juggernaut in taking down Panhandle. Week 6 of the TXHSFB season is here as almost 39% of the teams in the state are on bye. Games that are going on includes district action in Class 5A with Palo Duro and Abilene Cooper as the DCTF Game of the Week. Amarillo High and Tascosa battle it out, Gruver and Panhandle should be a good one plus all the news and notes for games across the area. WT goes on the road to take on Kingsville in a game that is crucial in LSC play. Tascosa upset Amarillo High to take the district title in team tennis plus volleyball news and notes from Tuesday.

WT dropped a home game to Midwestern St. as the defense couldn't slow the visitors down. Colby Carthel is the winningest coach in SFA history and Tech looks off. Week 5 of the TXHSFB season saw PD roll, Tascosa hold on to beat Frenship, Canyon rallies over undefeated Sanger and Gruver uses a strong fourth quarter to take their matchup with Wellington. Jason Culpepper won his 900th game as Bushland stormed pas Dalhart plus all your volleyball highlights from Saturday district action.

Tascosa stopped Amarillo High's 74 game district winning streak with a stunner at home Tuesday night while district started across most volleyball districts. It's week 5 of the TXHSFB season and we have a preview with news and notes for all games around the area. District action starts in 5A, several 4A schools have intriguing matchups with teams from down south and Gruver travels to Wellington for a top ten matchup. WT welcomes Midwestern St. for a big home game and the UIL establishes the neutral site for state semifinal games.
