Does Capturing Bigfoot settle the debate—or leave us with more questions?
Frank and Johnny discuss 22 questions we would ask director Marq Evans about Capturing Bigfoot and its implications for the Patterson–Gimlin film.
When was the mystery footage actually filmed? What establishes that it was a rehearsal rather than a later recreation? Who filmed it, who appears in it, and what additional evidence could clarify the story?
We also discuss Johnny’s visit to the Yakima Valley Bigfoot Conference and the conversations surrounding the documentary.
Marq Evans does not appear in this episode. These are our questions, opinions, and interpretations—not definitive answers.
What did we miss? Share your questions in the comments. If you have sources that address any of these points, we’d like to see them.

But does that settle every question about the Patterson-Gimlin film?
In this episode of Sasquatch Scrutiny, we examine what convinced us, what still doesn't add up, and how the new footage changes our understanding of one of the most famous films in Bigfoot history.
We discuss:
- The similarities in camera angles, movement, and filming techniques.
- Why the figure in the mystery footage appears different from Patty.
- Whether the person on horseback could be Bob Gimlin.
- Why a 1966 film-stock date doesn't prove when the footage was recorded.
- Jeff Meldrum's reaction to the footage.
- Our thoughts on the documentary itself.
- What these revelations mean for future Sasquatch research. We're willing to change our conclusions when the evidence warrants it. That's what Sasquatch Scrutiny is all about.
