Seguimos ™️
We come from people who were taught they weren’t enough — that all we deserved was the hard work. We kept the hard work. We dropped the lie.
SEGUIMOS™ is a Spanglish podcast from José + Nayeli — a Mexican-American couple building businesses, a marriage, and a family while figuring it out in real time. Every week we sit down with the gente who keep going: restaurant owners, entrepreneurs, creators, health leaders, and experts who understand the climb — and still know how to enjoy it.
We talk about the real stuff: money, marriage, failure, grief, identity, faith, raising our kids. And we talk our sh*t too — because the music, the food, and the laughter at the table aren’t a break from the journey. They ARE the journey.
Nobody here has arrived. Not the guests. Not us. We’re all still climbing.

Ep. 02 — How I Became Her Dad
Episode 2
Show notes
I was a huge mujeriego. I swore I’d never date a woman with a kid. Today I’m legally the father of a 12-year-old girl who calls me babe.”
This is the whole story. Nayeli takes us back to being 18 — an emergency C-section, finding out Sol had Down syndrome as she was born, two heart surgeries before she was a month old, and surviving it alone. José tells the truth about who he was when they met, moving her in three weeks into dating (without telling his mom), and the question that led him to adopt Sol: “If we broke up, what would hurt the most?”
Plus: the season a coach saved us, the fear José never said out loud, and the “I miss my boyfriend” rule that keeps 11 years feeling like year one.
For the single moms who think no one will choose them — and the men who think they can’t change.

Ep. 01 — Why Seguimos: We Kept the Hard Work, We Dropped the Lie
Episode 1
Show notes
In our first episode, we plant the flag. We come from families who were taught that all we deserved was the hard work — in this one, we keep the hard work and drop the lie.
José shares the truth that almost ended our marriage and why telling it saved everything. Nayeli talks about cleaning houses, finding her worth, and taking up space as an immigrant woman. And our daughter Sol teaches us the lesson no business, book, or mentor ever could.
We go deep, we laugh, we talk our sh*t. Nobody here has arrived — not the guests, not us.
Seguimos — because it’s an endless journey.
