LIGHT THE LAMP with Dr. Chrissy Biele, PT! 1060
Episode 1060
Show notes
Chrissy Biele, PT, DPT, PES, IADN Cert is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and the owner of Light the Lamp Physical Therapy, a one-on-one physical therapy practice in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania.
With more than 19 years of experience in orthopedic and sports medicine, Chrissy works with athletes and active adults to recover from injury, improve how they move, and build the strength and stability needed to keep doing the things they love.
A former hockey player and coach herself, Chrissy has developed a particular passion for rotational athletes and the demands that sports like hockey, tennis, and golf place on the body. Her practice is uniquely located inside a tennis club, where she works with athletes across multiple sports while helping people understand that rotational movement isn't just a sports skill — it's part of how we move through everyday life.
Chrissy recently took up golf herself, giving her a firsthand perspective on what it feels like to learn a rotational sport from the other side of the equation. That experience has added another dimension to her clinical work and sparked her interest in the relationship between mobility, stability, strength, and rotational performance.

Genetic Nutrigenomics with Kim Ressler! 1058
Episode 1058
Show notes
Kim Ressler is the Founder and CEO of SNiP Nutrigenomics, a women-led biotech company delivering DNA-personalized foundational nutrition to consumers, biohackers, and the practitioners who care for them.
After more than a decade of searching for the answers that conventional medicine couldn’t provide, Kim discovered that her body didn’t need another generic protocol. It needed nutrition informed by her genetic blueprint.
That discovery became the foundation for SNiP and its flagship product, CODE Complex®, a made-to-order precision supplement formulated from each person’s genetic profile.
Kim is helping redefine what personalization in wellness actually means. Instead of starting with symptom-chasing, supplement stacks, or quiz-based recommendations, her approach begins with actionable genetic insight, helping people better understand what their body may need at the foundation. Her message is clear: bloodwork is valuable, but it is still a snapshot in time. DNA offers a deeper starting point.
Through SNiP, Kim is bringing nutrigenomics out of elite longevity clinics and into everyday wellness, making precision nutrition more accessible, transparent, and actionable for people ready to stop guessing.

He is the author of The PE Diet: Leverage your biology to achieve optimal health, which he wrote with William Shewfelt in 2019. In the book, Ted explains protein to energy ratio, how it can optimize your health, and why food choice is everything.
His latest book is titled Satiety per Calorie: Eating, solved. For decades, diet books have focused on what to eat—low-carb, low-fat, paleo, keto, and everything in between. But Satiety Per Calorie goes deeper, revealing the simple yet groundbreaking concept that will change the way you think about food forever: the amount of satiety matters more than anything else.

The Glass Box is a page-turning and upsetting look at CrossFit—one of the most popular fitness programs in the world—and at its divisive founder, Greg Glassman. It is both a thorough history of a company’s rise and an eagle-eyed examination of what happens when a visionary idea marches headlong toward global expansion.
CrossFit is a phenomenon, but the company’s culture of unapologetic machismo, and the sometimes reckless behavior of Glassman and his cronies, repeatedly put the brand, and its founder, in the hot seat—until one careless mistake too many brought the empire crashing down.

SPECIAL EPISODE- Reversing Alzheimer's on Carnivore with Dean and Jodie Schneitman! 1044
Episode 1044
Show notes
Dean and Jodie Schneitman are a married couple whose lives changed when Jody was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in December 2023. Rather than accepting the diagnosis – no effective treatment and 100% terminal - they chose another path — researching the disease, consulting with physicians and scientists, and making major changes to nutrition, exercise, sleep, metabolic health, and daily lifestyle.
Dean, a retired teacher, has approached the journey with the curiosity of an educator and the determination of a husband who wants to leave no rock unturned. Jodie has met the challenge with remarkable discipline, participating in the routines and interventions they have built into their everyday life while continuing to remain active and engaged.
Their journey has included a carnivore-based diet, regular exercise, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, sauna, CPAP-supported sleep, and other lifestyle and metabolic approaches, along with ongoing medical evaluation and consultation with specialists. They are careful to distinguish between what is established, what is experimental, and what they have simply observed in their own experience.
Their story gained a much wider audience after they appeared in a long-form interview with Dr. Anthony Chaffee, Kelly Hogan, and Dave Mac where they spoke openly about Jody’s diagnosis and the path they have taken since.

Beyond the Pale and Anemia with Author Brendan Reesor! 1043
Episode 1043
Show notes
Brendan Reesor is on a mission to transform perceptions of mental illness. Years ago, he made a significant change to his diet, which not only led to notable improvements in his physical health but also had unexpected effects on his mental well-being.
As he hoped, his once pallid complexion brightened, but he soon discovered that he was free from chronic anxiety and mild feelings of gender dysphoria that had previously troubled him. Intrigued by his own transformation, Brendan delved into research, observing that his past experiences were not isolated. He recognized a troubling pattern among others who, like him, shared traits of being plant-based, pale, anxious, gender dysphoric, and socially conscious.
Determined to uncover the deeper truths about mental health, Brendan explored the intricate relationship between physical health and emotional well-being. He began to decipher complex phenomena often overlooked by experts, including nightmares, sleep paralysis, panic attacks, hallucinations, dissociation, mass hysteria, and postpartum depression, all of which he connects to deficiencies in blood and oxygen.
In his book, Beyond The Pale: Anemia: The Visible Yet Unseen Cause of Mental Illness and Gender Dysphoria, Brendan invites readers to explore his findings and consider the often-unacknowledged role of physical health in understanding mental illness.
