I Thought Meditation Was Stupid. I Was Wrong
Show notes
I thought meditation was stupid. Then I started treating it like training for my mind.
In Episode 3 of Bryson’s Take, I share three practical meditation techniques I use to build focus, unwind, and prepare for challenges. No elaborate setup—just intentional time to work on your mind.
Here’s what we cover:• **The Focuser:** Focus on individual sounds to practice paying attention and being present.• **The Relaxer:** Relax your body and visualize a peaceful place in detail.• **The Motivator:** Mentally rehearse an upcoming challenge, from your preparation to your performance.
As husbands, fathers, and men working to be better, we put effort into training our bodies. Our minds deserve that same attention. For me, this is about showing up more focused, prepared, and present for the people who count on us.
Try one of these techniques for 10–15 minutes and stay consistent.

You're Probably the Reason You're Not Successful
Show notes
“I’m not a morning person.” “I’m an introvert.” “That’s just who I am.”
What if the way you describe yourself is keeping you stuck?
In this episode of Bryson’s Take, I challenge the labels and limiting beliefs we use to define ourselves—and how they can become excuses that stop us from growing.
We discuss fixed mindsets, why crediting success entirely to genetics overlooks hard work, and why learning to adapt matters in your relationships, your work, and your role as a man and father.
Take an honest look at the language you use about yourself. Are you giving yourself room to change, or building a box around who you’ve always been?
What’s one label you’re ready to challenge? Share it in the comments.
