  3. The Real Reason You Hold Back What You Really Think

    Show notes

Let me know what you loved about the episode!

If you ever feel unheard, struggle to speak up for yourself or find yourself holding back what you really think, then LISTEN UP!

In this episode of Loving Life, we're exploring the hidden beliefs that can keep you quiet, from fear of judgement and worrying about what others think, to doubting the value of your own opinions. We'll look at how these patterns show up in everyday life, both at work and in relationships, why we sometimes silence ourselves to avoid conflict or rejection, and how past experiences can shape the way we express ourselves.

We'll also explore the throat chakra and its connection to communication, self-expression and speaking your truth,

The affirmations to help you reframe limiting beliefs, build self-trust and feel more confident expressing who you really are

    Old belief ➡ New belief
Nobody really listens to me ➡ I deserve to be listened to
I'm too sensitive ➡My feelings are valid and I allow them with compassion.
It's easier to say nothing ➡ I can choose to speak when it matters to me.
I don't want to be difficult ➡ Expressing a different opinion doesn't make me difficult.
I need people to like me ➡ I can value connection without sacrificing my authenticity.
My opinion probably doesn't matter ➡ My perspective is worth contributing, even when others see things differently.

If any of them jump out at you, use it as a focus affirmation for the week. Write it everywhere and keep going back to it, helping you start to reframe it

  4. How to Speak Your Truth & Be More Authentic

    Show notes

Let me know what you loved about the episode!

In this episode, we're exploring what it really means to speak your truth and be true to yourself.

We're looking at the subtle ways we edit ourselves to be more likeable, acceptable or easy to get along with, where those patterns might come from, and how it is linked to the Throat Chakra

We'll talk about what speaking your truth actually means and what is looks like when we aren't true to ourselves, the connection between authenticity and the Throat Chakra

I'll be sharing some crystals and energy practices that can support authentic expression

Here's a simple journaling practice to help you reconnect with what is actually true for you. Spend a couple of minutes each day- Take one of these questions a day and notice what comes up

    1. Where in my life do I find myself saying what I think other people want to hear, rather than what I actually think?

    2. When was the last time I changed my opinion, preference or behaviour because I was worried about what someone else would think?

    3. Are there parts of my personality that I tone down around certain people? What am I afraid might happen if I let those parts be fully seen?

    4. What have I been taught about people who speak their mind, stand out or do things differently?

    5. If I wasn't worried about being judged, disappointing anyone or being misunderstood, what would I allow myself to say, do, want or be?

You are allowed to be different. You are allowed to change your mind. And you are allowed to be completely, unapologetically you.

  5. Limiting Beliefs: How Do You Uncover a Subconscious Belief?

    Show notes

Let me know what you loved about the episode!

Ever wonder why you keep doing something you know you don't want to do?

Maybe you procrastinate, people-please, overthink, avoid putting yourself out there or keep finding yourself in the same frustrating situations.

What if the behaviour is being driven by a secret subconscious belief?

In this episode, we're becoming detectives of our own behaviour and looking at the patterns that can reveal the beliefs sitting underneath them.

I'll walk you through a simple process:

    Notice the pattern
Investigate what happens just before it
Trace the thoughts and emotions underneath
Question what it might mean about you

Because sometimes, understanding why you do something is the first step towards changing it.

These are the journaling question from the episode:

    What keeps happening?

How do I tend to react?

What am I feeling underneath that reaction?

What am I afraid might happen?

What am I making that mean about me?

Where might I have learned this?

Don't forget to screenshot them and send them to me...I love helping you find out what's really going on!

And if you're done with playing the detective, here is a tool that I'm giving away for FREE for the next 14 days only. Grab it >>>>>>> here

  6. Limiting Beliefs: What If You Don't Even Know What You Believe? | Conscious vs Subconscious Beliefs

    Show notes

Let me know what you loved about the episode!

What if one of the beliefs influencing your life is one you don't even consciously know you have?

In the first two episodes of this series, we've explored where limiting beliefs come from and what they can actually cost you. But something we haven't looked into yet: not all of our beliefs are conscious.

Your conscious mind is the part of your mental activity you're aware of. It's the part you're using to make decisions, solve problems and deliberately choose what you want.

But underneath that, your brain is constantly processing information, learning patterns and responding to experiences outside of your conscious awareness.

    You can consciously believe:

“I'm confident”, “I deserve success”, “I don't care what people think” or “I'm ready to put myself out there”, and still find yourself repeatedly holding back, procrastinating, people-pleasing, or avoiding the very things you say you want.

Sometimes there's a deeper pattern underneath the conscious belief.

  7. Limiting Beliefs: What Is That Belief Costing You?

    Show notes

Let me know what you loved about the episode!

We all have beliefs about ourselves.

    I'm not confident enough to...
My opinion doesn't get listened to.
I'm not good enough to do...
I have to keep everyone happy

But have you ever stopped to think about what those beliefs are actually costing you?

Reflection work to go with this episode:

Choose one belief you have about yourself and complete this sentence:

    Because I believe this, I...

    Then ask yourself:

    What is this costing me?

(What have you avoided? What have you tolerated? What have you said yes to? What have you said no to? Where have you made yourself smaller? What opportunities might you have missed?)

    And finally:

How might my life be different if this belief wasn't running the show?

  8. Limiting Beliefs: Where Did You Learn That About Yourself?

    Show notes

Let me know what you loved about the episode!

Have you considered that some of the things you believe about yourself aren't actually facts?

What if they're conclusions you came to somewhere along the way?

We all have beliefs about who we are and what we're capable of.

    I'm not good enough.

    My opinion doesn't matter.

    I'm just not confident.

I have to keep everyone happy.

    I'm not sophisticated enough.

I'm not the sort of person who...

And because some of these beliefs have been with us for years, we can forget that they were ever learned. They can start to feel like simply who we are.

But beliefs don't appear from nowhere.

They're shaped by our experiences, relationships, things people said to us, things we observed, and the meaning we made from what happened to us.

In this episode, we're exploring how those beliefs can form, how they can influence the way we see ourselves, and why questioning them can be the first step towards changing them.

  10. Why We Romanticise the Past (And How to Enjoy the Life You Have Now)

    Show notes

Let me know what you loved about the episode!

Have you ever found yourself wishing you could go back to a particular time in your life?

A time when things felt simpler. A relationship, a home, a holiday, a chapter of your life you remember with a little ache.

One day, you'll wish you can come back to this life.

How often do we look backwards wishing for what was, or forwards wishing for what will be, while completely overlooking the life we're living right now?

In this episode, we're talking about nostalgia, the selective way we remember the past, and the possibility of looking at our present life through the eyes of the future version of ourselves.

Because you can honour the past without wanting to live there.

You can be excited about what's coming without rushing towards it.

And you can love where you've been, while learning to really love where you are.

  11. Why Do I Feel Lonely? The Part of Self Development No One Tells You About

    Show notes

Let me know what you loved about the episode!

What happens when you start working on yourself, but the people around you don't?

Self-development can change so much more than your mindset. It can change your boundaries, your self-worth, your tolerance for negativity and even the relationships you once felt completely comfortable in.

In this episode, we’re talking about the loneliness that can come with personal growth, why other people’s negativity might suddenly become more noticeable, how stronger boundaries can change relationships, and why certain people can sometimes pull you back towards an old version of yourself.

  12. What If You Stopped Looking for the Signs? | Trusting Your Intuition & the Universe

    Show notes

Let me know what you loved about the episode!

Have you ever asked the universe for a sign?

Maybe you've noticed the same number repeatedly, heard the exact song you needed to hear, thought about someone just before they messaged, or found yourself repeatedly drawn towards something you can't quite explain.

And sometimes those little moments feel like more than coincidence.

We've recently experienced a particularly energetic period, with the Lionsgate Portal, a partial solar eclipse, the New Moon and a meteor shower all arriving within a relatively short space of time. And it got me thinking about the signs we look for from the universe, and whether we're sometimes so busy searching for them that we miss what's already being shown to us.

In this episode, we're exploring synchronicities, intuition, those strange little moments that make you stop and think "Hmmm...", and the possibility that the universe might communicate with us in far more ways than we realise.

But we also explore something deeper.

What if we're constantly asking the universe to tell us what to do because, somewhere along the way, we've stopped trusting ourselves?

What if the things that keep appearing in your life are inviting you to pay attention rather than simply giving you an answer?

And what if the signs aren't always beautiful coincidences or exciting opportunities? What if the relationships, situations, feelings and closed doors that keep repeating themselves are signs too?

Because sometimes the universe doesn't give us the whole map.

Sometimes we just get the next breadcrumb.

And the magic is learning to trust ourselves enough to follow it.

  13. Protecting Your Peace in a World That Never Switches Off | Why Social Media Feels So Exhausting

    Show notes

Let me know what you loved about the episode!

Ever picked up your phone for "just five minutes"... only to put it down feeling more overwhelmed than when you started?

Maybe everyone else seems happier, more successful or like they've somehow got life completely figured out. Or perhaps you've found yourself scrolling through endless opinions, breaking news and highlight reels until your own mind feels frazzled.

If that sounds familiar, you're definitely not alone.

In this episode, we're taking a nostalgic trip back to the 90s, when the back of a shampoo bottle could keep us entertained and nobody knew where we were unless they rang the house phone!

But this isn't an episode about deleting social media or wishing life was different.

Because this podcast is about Loving Life, not wishing life was different.

Together, we'll explore why social media can feel so mentally exhausting, why comparison has become almost impossible to avoid, and most importantly, how to become the curator of your own digital world instead of letting it curate you.

  14. How to Feel More Comfortable in Your Own Skin

    Show notes

Let me know what you loved about the episode!

    Episode Summary

Have you ever looked at someone and thought "they seem so confident"? The truth is, someone can appear confident on the outside whilst unknowingly questioning themselves on the inside.

In this episode, I'm exploring what it really means to feel comfortable in your own skin, and why it's about so much more than confidence or appearance.

After returning from a recent trip, I realised I'd spent the entire holiday without wearing makeup. It wasn't about the makeup itself. It was about what it represented, and how much my relationship with myself has changed over the years.

I share some of the subtle signs that you might not feel as comfortable in yourself as you'd like, from overthinking conversations and comparing yourself to others, to people-pleasing, perfectionism and constantly worrying what others think.

I'll also talk about my own self-development journey, including shadow work, Belief Coding®, breathwork and the importance of continuing to do the inner work. And if you're wondering "that's all well and good, but what can I actually do?!" I'll share ten gentle, practical ways you can begin feeling more at home in who you are.

Because feeling comfortable in your own skin isn't about becoming someone else.

It's about giving yourself permission to be the person you've been all along.

    Show notes

Let me know what you loved about the episode!

When was the last time nobody needed anything from you?

Just think about that for a second... no one asking you a question, no one wondering what's for dinner, no one needing a lift somewhere, no one expecting a reply and no one relying on you to remember something.

Last weekend, I got to experience exactly that. For the first time in over ten years, I had the house completely to myself. And what I thought was going to be a productive weekend turned into something quite different...

In this episode, I'm sharing what that weekend taught me about slowing down, reconnecting with myself.

If you've ever found yourself feeling overwhelmed, constantly thinking about the next thing on your list, or wondering why it's so difficult to hear your own thoughts amongst everyone else's needs, I think you'll really relate to this conversation.

  16. Why It Feels So Good to Come Home

    Show notes

Let me know what you loved about the episode!

Have you ever come back from a wonderful holiday, unpacked your suitcase, made yourself a cup of tea, and simply thought "it's so nice to be home"

This week on Loving Life, we're exploring why that feeling runs much deeper than we might realise.

Although getting away gives us the chance to rest, explore and make memories, there's something incredibly comforting about returning to the life we've built. Our favourite routines, familiar surroundings and the little rituals we barely notice all help us feel grounded, safe and at ease.

    In this episode, we'll explore:

    • Why coming home feels so comforting
    • How familiarity helps regulate our nervous system
    • The small everyday rituals that make a house feel like home
    • Why contentment isn't about never wanting to travel, but about loving the life you return to
    • A gentle visualisation to help you appreciate the ordinary moments that make your home uniquely yours

If you've ever found yourself smiling as you walked back through your own front door, this episode is a gentle reminder that sometimes the richest parts of life aren't always found in the exciting moments, but in the everyday places waiting for us to return.

  17. Why the Habits That Help You Most Are the Hardest to Keep

    Show notes

Let me know what you loved about the episode!

    We've all done it.

Promised ourselves we'd meditate every morning. Go for more walks. Journal before bed. Read instead of scrolling our phones.

We know these habits make us feel better, so why are they often the hardest ones to stick to?

In this episode, we're looking beyond motivation and willpower to explore what might really be happening beneath the surface. Because perhaps the habit isn't the problem at all.

    We're looking at:

    • Why you're probably much better at habits than you think
    • The hidden habits your brain has already perfected
    • Why nourishing habits can feel surprisingly uncomfortable
    • How subconscious beliefs can secretly influence the choices we make every day
    • Why missing a day doesn't mean you've failed
    • A gentler way to think about creating lasting habits

If you've ever called yourself lazy, undisciplined or someone who "just can't stick to anything," I hope this episode helps you see yourself with a little more compassion.

Because sometimes, the habits that could change our lives ask us to become someone who believes they're worthy of the time.

  18. When Life Gets Busy | A Gentle Reminder to Check In With Yourself

    Show notes

Let me know what you loved about the episode!

Life isn't always necessarily stressful, but it can be busy.

In this episode, I'm reflecting on a season where life has been particularly busy. Whilst none of these things were negative, they reminded me how easily a busy season can tip into overwhelm if we're not paying attention to what we need, even when the busyness is lovely things.

I share the small habits that helped me stay grounded, why recognising your own warning signs is a form of self-awareness, and how creating tiny moments of calm can make all the difference when life feels full.

    In this episode, we explore:

    • Why "good busy" can still feel overwhelming.
    • The subtle signs your nervous system might be asking you to slow down.
    • How to recognise what you need before overwhelm takes over.
    • Simple ways to reconnect with yourself during busy seasons.
    • Why self-care isn't something we do after we're overwhelmed, but something that helps prevent us from getting there.

    Journal Prompt

What are the small things that help you feel calmer, more grounded and more like yourself?

Create your own "anchor list" of five simple things you can return to whenever life starts to feel busy.

  19. What If Your Biggest Weakness Is Actually a Strength?

    Show notes

Let me know what you loved about the episode!

Have you spent years believing you're too quiet, too sensitive, too emotional, or just not confident enough?

What if those traits aren't flaws at all?

In this episode, we're exploring the surprising difference between a genuine weakness and a personality trait that's simply been misunderstood.

You'll discover why many of the things we've spent years trying to "fix" about ourselves may actually be strengths in disguise, and how to recognise when something is part of who you are versus a fear that's been keeping you small.

If you've ever questioned whether you're enough, this episode offers a fresh perspective that might just change how you see yourself.

  20. The Real Reason You Keep Putting Things Off

    Show notes

Let me know what you loved about the episode!

If you've ever found yourself putting off a task that would only take ten minutes, yet somehow it's been on your to-do list for weeks, you need to listen to this episode!

We're exploring what procrastination is really trying to tell you. Because more often than not, it's not about laziness or a lack of motivation. It's about what's happening beneath the surface.

We'll look at how overwhelm, perfectionism, fear of judgement, and your nervous system can all influence why you keep saying, "I'll do it later," and how a little self-compassion can help you finally move forward.

    Journaling Questions

    • What task have I been putting off recently?
    • What emotion might I be avoiding by not doing it?
    • What story am I telling myself about what could happen?
    • If I trusted myself completely, what would I do next?
    • What is the smallest possible step I could take today?
