Uplifting, inspiring, educational, poetic and wide ranging! We investigate how our inner beliefs and personal habits relate our material reality; at the places where technology and invention meet the human body and human institutions; at how our cosmology can help or hinder a culture in its evolution toward more love and justice.

  1. The Unencumbered Child: Coherence Education with Andrew Freeman

    Episode 192

    Show notes

Are traditional schools preparing children for a rapidly changing future? In this episode of The Rose Woman Podcast, Christine Marie Mason speaks with Andrew Freeman about a different approach: helping children become confident, purposeful, and creative learners by starting with who they are.

Andrew shares his vision for Inside-Out Education, an approach that builds learning around each child’s unique Genius Zone and Path of Purpose, rather than expecting every student to fit the same curriculum. Through personalized, project-based learning and intentional skill building, Coherence Education aims to help young people grow into healthy, happy, thriving creators who are ready for an AI-driven world.

They also discuss Andrew’s vision of the “unencumbered child,” the role of parents in supporting children’s growth, and how education can nurture curiosity, creativity, relationships, and a sense of purpose.

    About Andrew Freeman

Andrew triple-majored in Computer Science, Math, and Accounting while playing varsity basketball and tennis. He later earned an MBA from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and built a career in technology, with leadership roles at Microsoft, Hewlett-Packard, Netscape, and several startups.

Today, Andrew is scaling Coherence Education’s accredited full-time program toward a licensing model, with the goal of reaching more than two million children by 2030. He is looking for teachers, partners, and funders who share his commitment to transforming education.

  2. Apprentice of Love: Reverence, Grief and Holding Space with Astrid Brinck

    Episode 191

    Show notes

A single bow can hold a whole way of living: one that welcomes grief, honors endings, and leans fully into love.

In this episode of the Rose Woman podcast, Christine Marie Mason sits down with Astrid Brinck, a contemporary teacher and integrative therapist from Chile whose life’s work orbits reverence, grief, and the deep craft of holding space. Together, they explore how natural cycles, fully felt sorrow, and conscious endings can carve us into more joyful, present, and reverent human beings.

    About Astrid Brinck

Astrid Brinck is an apprentice of love, a contemporary teacher, facilitator, and integrative therapist from Chile. For more than three decades, she has devoted herself to understanding the maturation of the human heart through the lens of nature’s cycles and life’s initiations. Drawing from her research and lived experience, she created The Circle, a process for self‑mastery, along with the Inner Freedom Process and Reverent Leadership Training. Astrid works with leaders, organizations, and communities worldwide, focusing on cultures of care, grief and completion work, and the subtle relational skills required to hold space with integrity. She also trains facilitators in the “temptations of the facilitator” and how to create containers where people remain fully sovereign while being deeply supported.

Listen now to journey with Astrid into a different way of relating to love, loss, leadership, and the sacred work of simply being human.

    • (00:00:00): Introduction of Astrid by Christine: background, work with nature’s cycles, “The Circle,” inner freedom, reverent leadership, and holding space.
    • (00:03:19): What is Reverence for Astrid?
    • (00:05:05): Astrid’s childhood in Chile
    • (00:07:00): Fire and loss
    • (00:08:41): Grief work
    • (00:11:40): Detailed description of Astrid’s Circle/Cycles process

    • (00:29:20): Concrete examples of conscious endings
    • (00:33:21): Overview of The Circle & reverent leadership
    • (00:37:11): Introduction to The Four Freedoms as the core framework
    • (00:37:34): First Freedom – freedom to be yourself: owning past, scars, mistakes, and rejecting shame and spiritual bypassing.
    • (00:40:41): Second Freedom – freedom to relate with what is: legitimate self and legitimate other, compassion, and the right to change one’s mind.
    • (00:43:31): Third Freedom – freedom to participate in the world; movement rather than perfection, many forms of participation, and critique of “excellence” as arrogance.
    • (00:45:59): Fourth Freedom – freedom to transcend via reverence and bowing; daily practice of returning “home,” beyond organized religion.
    • (00:49:06): What are the qualities of a wonderful facilitator?
    • (00:49:44): Temptations of the facilitator (part 1) – taking credit for participants’ achievements, over‑owning failures, and crossing boundaries with praise.
    • (00:53:12): Principle of only helping those who ask
    • (00:57:14): Temptations of the facilitator (part 2) – seeing intuition as “the truth” rather than a source of inquiry; attachment to outcomes; timing that isn’t the client’s.
    • (01:03:49): Hygiene in language and attitude
    • (01:07:56): Elements of a Clean Container

  3. Love Is the Physics: Tam Hunt on Resonance, the ʻĀina, and the AI Reckoning

    Episode 190

    Show notes

What if love, resonance, and political courage were not separate conversations, but facets of the same underlying reality?

In this new episode of The Rose Woman Podcast, Christine welcomes back philosopher, environmental lawyer, and homesteader Tamlyn (Tam) M. Hunt to explore how consciousness, AI, renewable energy, and tropical panpsychism all meet in a single resonance-based view of the world. From Hawaii’s ʻāina to the AI tsunami, from back-to-the-land experiments to a “resonance model of politics,” they trace how a deeper understanding of consciousness might change the way we do policy, leadership, and love itself.

Tamlyn M. Hunt applies a unique blend of expertise in different but related fields to lead discussions on big picture trends. Tamlyn's decades of work as an environmental lawyer focused on renewable energy law and policy have given him tools to frame the necessary conversations on how we can make wise changes.

Coupled with his academic work in philosophy, spirituality, and cognitive science, Tamlyn explores how we can use a deeper understanding of consciousness to relate to ourselves and our world in a more beneficial way.

Through his work as a writer, scholar, and speaker, Tamlyn seeks to bridge connections across the gap between science and spirit. He is co-developer of the General Resonance Theory of consciousness, with Prof. Jonathan Schooler, and has published a number of peer-reviewed articles fleshing out the details of this rigorous approach to the study of consciousness.

Tamlyn is also a novelist, working on his second novel, Leilani, set on the Big Island of Hawaii where he has lived since 2016.

Listen in as Christine and Tam follow the thread from “it’s all vibrations, man” to the AI reckoning, resilience politics, and ontological loveand invite you to feel how “the many become one and are increased by one” in your own life.

    • (00:00:00): Introduction and Chapter Five of The Hippies Were Right
    • (00:04:59): Overview Of General Resonance Theory and How “Everything Vibrates” Becomes A Theory Of Consciousness

  4. Being the Medicine and Refuge with Sister Lucy of Maher

    Episode 189

    Show notes

When a broken heart turns into a blueprint, one woman can quietly change the fate of thousands. In this episode, Christine sits down with Sister Lucy Kurien, the visionary founder of Maher (“Mother’s Home”), an interfaith, caste-free network of homes for women, children, and men in India.

    Called to Serve

Sister Lucy Kurien was born in 1956 in Kolayad, Kannur District, Kerala, India. After several years of formal education, at age 14 she moved to Mumbai, where she was profoundly distressed by the appalling poverty and squalor in the city. Having carried a strong inner desire for justice since childhood, she felt a deep calling to make a difference in the lives of the poor and famished around her. In 1980, she joined Sisters of the Cross, a religious order. It was a difficult decision that meant giving up the bliss of an independent and free life. After 4 years of training, she was professed to the order.

    The Birth of Maher

Sister Lucy started Maher activities in a small home in Vadhu Budruk, near Bhima Koregaon on the Ahmednagar highway. Her tireless efforts and the work of the dedicated staff led to the expansion of Maher activities to nearby areas. These include the villages in Shirur, Haveli and Khed talukas, as well as the city of Ratnagiri, Miraj & Satara in Maharashtra. Beyond Maharashtra, Maher has established homes in Kerala, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Karnataka, Bihar and Andhra Pradesh. In 2011, unable to ignore the plight of abandoned men on the streets, Maher opened its first home for destitute, aged, and mentally challenged men. Today Maher reaches the life of the poorest of the poor through as many as 25 different outreach projects, including 672 village self-help groups and 75 interfaith, caste-free homes that currently shelter 996 children and 292 men and over 798 destitute women. Since its founding, Maher has provided care and shelter for more than 6200 children, 6,500 women, and 850 men.

In this conversation, you’ll hear how Sister Lucy transforms heartbreak into practical compassion—turning love into food, shelter, education, mental health care, and long-term dignity.

Press play to hear Sister Lucy’s extraordinary story and what it truly means to be “the medicine and refuge” in a hurting world—and if her work moves you, please donate to Maher. Your listening amplifies her message; your giving helps keep “Mother’s Home” open for those who have nowhere else to turn.

    • (00:00:00): Introduction to Sister Lucy as a Living Practitioner of Love and Founder of Maher

  5. The Magic of Enclosure: Dark Retreats with Meghan Elfsten

    Episode 188

    Show notes

In a world that never turns the lights off, what happens when you willingly choose complete, uninterrupted dark?

Joining us for today’s conversation is Meghan Elfsten. She is the Director of OMYA Dark Retreats, a California Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), and holds a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology. She is completing her Somatic Experiencing® training in September 2026 and facilitates immersive dark retreat experiences designed to support nervous system regulation, deep restoration, and inner reconnection. Rooted in Somatic Experiencing®, her work weaves mindfulness, relational awareness, and body-based practices to gently unwind patterns of trauma, addiction, and chronic overstimulation in a way that feels more womb-like than punishing.

Drawing from her own life-changing time in extended darkness, Meghan became deeply devoted to the question: What becomes possible when we remove all external stimulation and finally listen to the body? At OMYA Dark Retreats, she now creates highly supported, trauma-aware containers where participants can safely turn inward, meet long-buried parts of themselves, and access deeper layers of emotional and embodied healing—without plant medicine, performance, or spiritual bypass.

  6. I Belong to Me: Tia Levings on Escaping Christian Patriarchy and Reclaiming the Self

    Episode 187

    Show notes

What happens when the “perfect Christian wife” decides her life belongs to her after all? In this episode of The Rose Woman Podcast, Christine sits down with Tia Levings, New York Times bestselling author of A Well-Trained Wife and I Belong to Me: A Survivor’s Guide to Recovery and Hope after Religious Trauma. Tia writes and speaks about the realities of religious trauma, evangelical patriarchy, and the trad wife life, decoding the fundamentalist influences in our news and culture; her work and quotes have appeared in Teen Vogue, Salon, Newsweek, the Huffington Post, and the hit Amazon docu-series Shiny Happy People. Together, Christine and Tia explore how high-control religion shapes women’s bodies, marriages, motherhood, aging, and even our politics, why the trad wife aesthetic is so seductive right now, what happens when adult children step away from the faith of their families, and how to slowly rebuild a sense of self, boundaries, and spirituality on your own terms. Based in Raleigh, North Carolina, Tia is mom to four grown kids and, when she’s not writing or speaking, she loves to travel, hike, paint, and daydream. If you’ve ever felt confined by an ideology, a relationship, or a role you were told to play, this conversation offers language, validation, and a gentle map back to yourself.

In this conversation, he traces the arc from conscious capitalism to The Festival of Consciousness, from his book Humanitas with the mystic Sergi Torres to a research practice on the future of human potential. At the center is a deceptively simple claim — that the scarcity mindset sets a ceiling on everything we can become, that love is the actual driver of the universe, and that the only way past the ceiling is the inner work no decision can shortcut. Christine and Xavi move through altered states, and the limits of the senses, the brain as receiver rather than generator, a clear-eyed critique of transhumanism, and a practical invitation to let the heart lead and the mind execute.

    Episode 185

    Show notes

What happens when we stop choosing sides between light and shadow, masculine and feminine, right and wrong—and instead stand in a sacred third space?

Meet Elayne Kalila Doughty, MA, MFT, a priestess‑psychotherapist whose life’s work is reclaiming the divine feminine and midwifing women into their full, unapologetic power. She trains, initiates, and ordains women as modern‑day priestesses, ceremonialists, and powerful feminine leaders in all walks of life and professions. Her work specializes in helping women tap into their deepest wisdom and harness their own transformational power so they can be more effective and whole in every aspect of their lives.

The episode closes with a powerful blessing and invocation for the divine human in each of us.

  11. The Way of the Witch with Eva Clay

    Episode 182

    Show notes

Step into this one with your whole body, not just your ears.

On this episode of The Rose Woman Podcast, we’re joined by someone who lives right at the crossroads of soul, sexuality, and science: Eva Clay. She isn’t here to offer cliché “tips and tricks” — she’s here to invite you into a deeper, more intelligent relationship with your own pleasure, power, and aliveness.

Eva is an acclaimed somatic psychotherapist, sexologist, speaker, and founder of the Institute of Intimacy Arts. Grounded in both clinical rigor and embodied practice, her work focuses on the integration of soul, sexuality, and science. A former professor of neuropsychology, she brings a sophisticated understanding of the brain, nervous system, and human intimacy, offering a clear perspective that intelligence and eros are fundamentally intertwined.

She’s guided thousands of people toward deeper embodiment, relational capacity, and access to pleasure and vitality. Rooted in somatic science and over two decades of training in classical and sexual tantra, her work invites a return to sensation, truth, and aliveness. She creates spaces where the nervous system can soften, guarded patterns can release, and satisfying intimacy can emerge.

Eva has a particular passion for guiding women in the midlife portal to claim agency, power and pleasure.

If you’re curious about what it really means to live erotically awake—beyond performance, beyond pathology, and beyond old stories—this conversation is for you.

Listen in and let this be an invitation back to your own sensation, truth, and wild, sovereign aliveness.
