  1. Sabrina Zohar on Why the Wrong Person Can Feel So Right | No Magic Pill

    Show notes

Why can the wrong person feel so right, while a healthy relationship feels boring? Sabrina Zohar, relationship coach, host of The Sabrina Zohar Show, and NYT bestselling author of Why Am I Like This?, joins Blake Mycoskie on No Magic Pill to explore the patterns that keep us chasing love we feel we have to earn.

Sabrina shares how her childhood shaped the people she dated and why accepting a partner who loved her without the performance took work. She and Blake unpack the “bullshit blueprint,” the beliefs we carry into relationships before we realize they’re there.

They discuss why texting can become a search for reassurance, how to pause before reacting, and what it means to set a boundary you’ll actually keep. Sabrina also explains why she tells people to stop chasing the spark, stop dating potential, and pay attention to how they feel with someone.

  2. What Dhar Mann, Robin Sharma, Karamo Brown, Paige Mycoskie and More Taught Us About Healing | No Magic Pill

    Show notes

For the first time ever, a guest is coming back to No Magic Pill. Blake Mycoskie is joined by his good friend Tyler Ramsey, host of the podcast Punk Rock Sober, for an unscripted look back at the last six conversations on the show. They revisit the moments that stuck with them most from Dhar Mann, Robin Sharma, Cory Richards, Aubrey Marcus, Karamo Brown, and Blake’s sister Paige Mycoskie, who held nothing back. They talk about why staying silent often protects everyone but you, why not making a choice is still a choice, the hard days nobody else sees, and the five-question morning journal practice that can change how your day begins. Whether you’ve heard every episode or are just finding the show, this conversation pulls together the lessons worth carrying with you.

  3. How Carl Lentz Saved His Marriage After Infidelity Destroyed His Public Life | No Magic Pill

    Episode 26

    Show notes

Carl Lentz was the pastor of Hillsong New York, preaching to thousands every week and leading a movement that felt like revival. Behind the scenes, he was falling apart. In 2020, he was fired after an affair, and the life he’d spent years building collapsed in public. He thought about ending his life, until a few friends kept pushing him to just see what might be possible tomorrow. In this episode of No Magic Pill, Carl and Blake talk about the slow erosion that comes before the fall, why “active lies” wage a war with your soul that never ends, and how his time at Onsite and in rehab in Arizona showed him that no one is beyond repair. Carl shares what he and his wife Laura learned while writing their book “Overcoming Infidelity”:. That includes why “what do you need from me?” matters more than “do you forgive me?”, why forgiveness and trust are two very different things, and why ownership, not shame, is what finally sets you free.

    Episode 24

    Show notes

In this episode of No Magic Pill, Blake Mycoskie sits down with Sara Blakely, founder of Spanx, creator of Sneaks, and one of the most resilient entrepreneurs alive, for a conversation that goes far beyond business. Sara shares the grief that blindsided her after selling Spanx, why society has no framework for checking in on someone who just achieved everything, how her marriage to fellow entrepreneur Jesse Itzler has been a lifeline, and the moment she realized she had spent 16 years being taught what to think instead of how to think. Raw, honest and genuinely surprising, this one will stay with you.

  6. What If the Treatment Is Making You Worse? | Laura Delano & Blake Mycoskie

    Episode 23

    Show notes

At 13, Laura Delano was told she had an incurable mental illness and would need psychiatric medication to manage it. What followed were years of diagnoses, hospitalizations, multiple medications, and a worsening mental health crisis.

In this episode of No Magic Pill, Blake Mycoskie sits down with Unshrunk author Laura Delano to explore the question that ultimately changed the course of her life: What if it wasn’t treatment-resistant mental illness? What if the treatment itself was part of the problem?

Drawing from Laura’s two-decade journey and Blake’s own experience with a bipolar II diagnosis and psychiatric medication, they explore physical dependence and withdrawal, the risks of tapering too quickly, informed decision-making, and what can happen when we look beyond a diagnosis to understand the deeper context behind our suffering.

This isn’t a conversation about being for or against medication. It’s about agency, curiosity, and asking better questions about our mental health—including one that reframed Laura’s own journey: instead of only asking “What’s wrong with me?” what if we also asked “What happened to me?”

Because sometimes healing begins not with another quick fix, but with understanding what our pain has been trying to tell us.

No quick fixes. No shortcuts. No Magic Pill.

  7. 100% Sobriety, Male Loneliness, and Healing Parental Wounds | Karamo Brown

    Season 2, Episode 9

    Show notes

In this episode of No Magic Pill, Blake sits down with TV host, culture expert, and author Karamo Brown (Queer Eye) for a deeply honest conversation on vulnerability, male mental health, and the power of radical self-acceptance. Karamo shares his journey from social work to television, opening up about discovering he had a nine-year-old son at age 25, facing brutal career rejection, and breaking free from the cultural conditioning that tells men to hide their pain.

Together, Blake and Karamo explore the distinction between "giving up" a habit versus actively choosing health, why so many men struggle with hidden loneliness, and how practical tools—like monthly "friendship audits" and shoulder-to-shoulder conversations—can help create genuine connection and lasting peace.

As the founder of Onnit and one of the most respected voices in peak performance, consciousness, and plant medicine, he's gone deeper than most people are willing to go and he's willing to talk about where it's gone right and where it's gone wrong. In this episode, he and Blake explore how to approach psychedelics responsibly, what Aubrey learned inside a darkness retreat, what it felt like coming back out, and why the most important realization of his life is also the simplest, nobody else will ever be you. If you've ever felt the pull toward something bigger than yourself and didn't know where to start, this conversation is your invitation.

  12. The Most Practical Mental Health Lessons You Can Use Today | Blake Mycoskie & Tyler Ramsey

    Season 2, Episode 5

    Show notes

Blake sits down with his close friend Tyler Ramsey, host of Punk Rock Sober, to unpack the most important lessons from the last six episodes of No Magic Pill. Not the highlights. The insights that actually hit hardest and deserve more than a moment. Examining the radical simplicity of what's working instead of what isn't. And revisiting the practical tools that have shown up again and again across six very different conversations with six very different people. In this conversation you’ll learn: Jewel’s approach to mindset shifts through journaling; Dr. Gabor Maté’s framework on navigating values; Joshua Bassett’s advice on how to break through negative feedback loops through service; Jim Kwik’s philosophy of achieving little wins vs finding motivation; Garrett Gee’s technique to finding joy again and expanding your comfort zone; and Paul Conti, MD’s observations on overdiagnosis in the medical industry and the 3 drives of humanity. If you've been listening and wondering how to actually apply any of this to your life, this episode is your answer.

A Jewish infant under Nazi occupation in Budapest, trauma expert Gabor Maté and his mother came close to extermination. At one point, she gave him to a stranger to save his life. In this conversation you’ll learn:

    – Why most mental and physical ailments, from autoimmune illnesses to depression, often stem from adverse childhood experiences

    – A revolutionary way to think about ADHD and what to do if your kid has it

    – Why medication shouldn’t be the first or only answer for kids and how to involve the child in the decision

In this special episode of No Magic Pill, Blake Mycoskie sits down with close friend therapist, author, and speaker Chris Orwig revisiting the most powerful breakthroughs and reflecting on the ideas that left the deepest impact and what it actually takes to create lasting change.
