  1. How to Simplify Getting Healthy: Focus on This ONE Thing

    Show notes

You want to feel better, but every health tip seems to add something else to your to-do list. More protein. More workouts. Earlier bedtimes. Where do you even start?

In this episode, we’re talking about how to simplify getting healthy by choosing ONE thing: your next step. I’ll walk you through figuring out what needs your attention, choosing a habit that fits your life, and letting the other things wait. I’m also sharing how one woman started with a small bedtime change - and what she noticed along the way.

    IN THIS EPISODE, YOU’LL LEARN:

    • Why trying to change everything at once can make consistency harder.
    • How to notice areas for improvement without turning every observation into another assignment.
    • The questions to ask yourself to find a next step that fits your needs and your life.
    • How focusing on one manageable habit can make other healthy choices feel easier.
    • How to adjust when something isn’t working and recognize when you’re ready to build on your progress.

  3. Over 40? These Health Numbers Matter More Than Your Weight

    Show notes

If you’re a woman over 40, the number on the scale is only one tiny piece of your health story.

In this episode, I’m sharing what I learned from getting a DEXA scan at 42 (including my bone density, lean muscle mass, visceral fat, body fat distribution, and resting metabolic rate) and why these numbers have changed the way I think about healthy aging.

If you’re trying to lose weight after 40, build muscle, improve your metabolism, or simply stay strong and healthy as you age, this episode will help you look beyond the scale and focus on the health markers that really matter.

    IN THIS EPISODE, YOU’LL LEARN:

    • What a DEXA scan can tell you about your body
    • Why bone density and muscle mass become so important after 40
    • What visceral fat is and why it matters
    • What your resting metabolic rate (RMR) actually means
    • Better ways to measure health and progress beyond your weight

    Show notes

Protein, steps, strength training, hormones, cortisol, sleep, macros, supplements ... there is more health information available to women than ever before, so why does getting healthy feel so overwhelming?

In this episode, Camille shares how all-or-nothing thinking and complicated health routines can actually make it harder to stay consistent. You’ll learn how to simplify healthy eating, exercise, and everyday wellness by focusing on the basics, choosing your next step, and building healthy habits that actually fit your real life.

  5. I Asked My Dad Two Questions I Wish I Had Asked Him Years Ago

    Show notes

What if one good question could completely change a conversation with someone you love?

Recently, I took my dad back to the small town where he grew up. We drove past his childhood home, listened to stories I had never heard before, and eventually sat down for lunch where I asked him two questions:

What is the purpose of your life right now?

    and

What advice would you give me that you wish you had known at my age?

His answers gave me a lot to think about - especially when it comes to family, purpose, changing seasons of life, and the importance of the small things we do every day.

In this episode, we’re talking about why strong relationships are an important part of overall health, why your purpose may look different in different seasons, and why your circle of influence doesn’t have to be large to be meaningful.

If you’ve been wondering what your purpose is right now, feeling like what you’re doing isn’t “big enough,” or simply wanting deeper relationships with the people you love, this episode is for you.

    In This Episode You’ll Learn:

    • The two questions I asked my dad that led to one of our best conversations
    • How purpose can change as we move through different seasons of life
    • Why my dad believes there is no such thing as a small calling or a small purpose
    • Why the ordinary things you do for your family may matter more than you realize
    • How relationships and social connection fit into your overall health
    • How to identify what your own next step might be in this season

  6. What I Learned When I Stopped Posting on Social Media

    Show notes

What if the next step you need to take isn’t adding something else to your life, but putting something down?

After years of building businesses online, I did something this summer that felt almost unthinkable: I stopped posting on social media. No big announcement. No dramatic goodbye. I simply gave myself permission to step away.

And something surprising happened: I had more room for the things I actually wanted to be doing.

In this episode, I’m sharing what I learned from taking a summer away from social media - and why this conversation is about so much more than Instagram or algorithms. It’s about recognizing that every yes costs us something, that something can be good and still not be right for this season, and that sometimes we don’t need a better schedule or more discipline. Sometimes, something simply needs to go.

If you’ve been feeling stretched thin, overwhelmed by everything you think you should be doing, or wondering how to make room for what actually matters to you, this episode will help you look at your life differently.

You don’t have to decide what you’re doing forever. You just have to ask: What feels like the right next step for this season?

    In This Episode You’ll Learn:

    • Why I stopped posting on social media this summer—and what happened when I did
    • Why every yes has a cost, even when you’re saying yes to something good
    • The question to ask when it feels like there simply aren’t enough hours in the day
    • Why something that was right for you in one season may not be right for you anymore
    • Why your next step doesn’t always have to be something you start
    • Two questions to ask yourself this week: “What am I ready to put down?” and “What would that give me room to say yes to?”

    Show notes

How do you eat healthy at parties, BBQs, holidays, and family gatherings without restricting yourself or feeling like you've completely fallen off track?

In this episode, Camille shares her family's annual "Ribs with Sibs" tradition and the simple food philosophy she uses to enjoy ribs, cheesy potatoes, cornbread, dessert, and all the foods she loves while still supporting her health goals. You'll learn practical strategies for balanced eating at social events, why one indulgent meal won't derail your progress, and how to break free from the all-or-nothing dieting mindset. Because healthy eating isn't about being perfect, but it's about building sustainable habits that have room for parties, traditions, family, and real life.

    • Why one indulgent meal won't undo your health, just like one healthy meal won't create it
    • Camille's simple "Ribs with Sibs" strategy for building a balanced plate at parties

👉 [JOIN THE NEXT STEPS PROJECT]

Enrollment closes Sunday, September 13 at 11:59 PM MT.

You already know a LOT about health.

Eat more protein. Lift weights. Walk more. Get enough sleep. Drink your water. Manage your stress. Eat more fiber. Get outside.

So why can it still feel so hard to actually do those things?

In this episode of Simple Health for Moms, Camille explores why the problem may not be that you need more motivation, discipline, or health information. In fact, you may have the opposite problem: you know so much that you don't know what actually matters most for you right now.

When everything feels important, taking care of yourself can quickly turn into another full-time job. And when you can't do the whole plan perfectly, it's easy to do nothing at all.

Camille shares a different approach built around three simple questions:

    Where am I?

Where do I want to go?

    What's my next step?

Instead of trying to map out the next 17 steps, you'll learn how to pay attention to your own life, make one intentional choice, notice what happens, adjust, and keep going.

Because the goal isn't to build a healthy life that only works under perfect conditions.

It's to make progress in a way that fits the life you're actually living.

    In This Episode, You'll Learn:

    • Why knowing more about health doesn't necessarily make taking care of yourself easier
    • How too much health information can leave you overwhelmed and unsure where to begin
    • The skill most health programs never teach you: how to figure out what YOU need
    • Three questions to help you identify your next step: Where am I? Where do I want to go? What's my next step?
    • How to make progress - even when your life is busy, messy, unpredictable, or far from perfect

Three Questions to Find Your Next Step

    1. Where am I?

    2. Where do I want to go?

    3. What's my next step?

    JOIN THE NEXT STEPS PROJECT

For six weeks, we'll practice this together.

We'll look at where you are, where you want to go, and what your next step might be. Then you'll try it, notice what happens, adjust, and keep going.

We'll cover nutrition, movement, strength, energy, stress, recovery, and consistency—without handing you another giant checklist of things you're supposed to change.

    You'll receive:

  9. 10 Habits of Women Who Actually Keep the Weight Off

    Show notes

Most women who struggle with their weight aren't failing because of a lack of willpower, they're failing because the approach is wrong. Slashing calories, doing hours of cardio, white-knuckling through hunger: it works for a week and backfires for a month.

Today Camille shares the ten habits she has seen over and over again in the women she coaches who finally lose weight and actually keep it off. Not harder. Different.

    In This Episode You'll Learn:

    • Why crash dieting and excessive cardio almost always backfire and what to do instead
    • The simple three-part plate framework that reduces food noise and keeps you full between meals
    • Why three structured meals a day regulates hunger better than grazing and snacking
    • How strength training (without a gym) protects your metabolism for long-term results
    • The protein target per meal that actually keeps you satisfied and how to hit it
    • Why hydration directly affects how your body holds onto or releases fat
    • How chronic stress sabotages weight loss even when everything else is on point
    • The daily step goal that burns fat, lowers cortisol, and requires zero equipment
    • How to handle sugar and alcohol without restriction or guilt
    • Why sleep might be the single most underrated fat-loss tool available to moms
    • How fiber quietly eliminates cravings and keeps you full without restriction

    In This Episode, You'll Learn:

    • Why you may be much better at consistency than you think
    • The hidden problem with health plans that only work when you can follow them perfectly
    • Why getting results for a few weeks isn't the same as building sustainable habits
    • The cycle that keeps so many women constantly starting over
    • Why adjusting your plan isn't quitting (it's actually a skill of consistency)
    • How to stop confusing consistency with perfection
    • The question Camille uses in her own life and coaching: “What would the woman I'm becoming choose today?”
    • How to make progress in a way that actually fits the life you're living right now

    The Two Cycles

    Does this one sound familiar?

Get motivated → Make a plan → Fall off → Feel guilty → Wait for Monday → Start over

What if, instead, you learned to:

  11. Why Stress Is Making You Gain Weight (Even When You're Doing Everything Right)

    Show notes

What if you're doing everything right — eating well, exercising, getting great sleep — and your body is still holding onto weight? The missing piece might not be your diet or your workout. It might be your cortisol.

Today, Camille breaks down exactly how chronic stress changes your body composition, why you can't out-discipline your stress hormones, and what actually works to start turning things around.

    In This Episode You'll Learn:

    • Why chronic stress directly causes fat storage — especially around your belly — and why it's not about what you ate
    • How cortisol can quietly break down muscle and slow your metabolism without you changing anything else
    • Why stress eating is a physiological response, not a willpower failure — and how to break the cycle
    • How poor sleep and elevated cortisol feed each other and why addressing both is essential
    • Why high-intensity workouts can actually make stress-related weight gain worse
    • The specific types of movement, nutrition habits, and rest practices that actually lower cortisol
    • How small pockets of nervous system rest throughout the day add up to real change

    Show notes

My oldest daughter turns 19 this year — and that milestone stopped me in my tracks. Nineteen years of motherhood. If I could go back and hand newbie mom Camille a piece of paper at the hospital, this is what would be on it. Today I'm sharing all nineteen lessons: the things I had to learn the hard way, the things that changed everything once I finally understood them, and the ones I come back to again and again on the hardest days.

    In This Episode You'll Learn:

    • Why God's choice of you as your child's parent was not an accident — and the scripture in Jeremiah that backs it up
    • How to let your kids struggle without leaving them alone in it
    • The phrase Camille says in her house that released her from the pressure of doing it all
    • Why your marriage needs protecting just as much as your kids do — and what date night can look like in the little seasons
    • The one thing that almost always helps on a hard day (it's simpler than you think)
    • How to build a village when one doesn't just show up on its own
    • Why the meals don't have to be perfect — and what they're actually about
    • The scripture phrase that gets Camille through every hard season
    • Why soaking up the child is how you win the long game of raising an adult you love

    Show notes

Have you ever felt like food is always on your mind — even when you're not hungry? That constant mental chatter has a name: food noise.

In this episode, Camille breaks down what food noise actually is, why it happens (hint: it's biology, not weakness), and five practical ways to quiet it — no prescription required.

    In This Episode You'll Learn:

What food noise is and why so many moms experience it

    • The biological reasons your brain fixates on food
    • How blood sugar stability connects to mental chatter around food
    • The plate method framework for building meals that keep you full and satisfied
    • Why fiber and protein are two of your most powerful tools
    • How stress and sleep affect your hunger hormones
    • The mindset shift around food rules that changes everything
