This week on The Quantum Health Connection Podcast, Vanessa interviews Dr. Frank Forgnoni, OD, FCSO, FCOVD-Emeritus. Dr. Frank is holistic optometrist specializing in vision therapy and light therapy. Together they explore the profound relationship between light, vision, brain function, and overall health.

Dr. Frank shares his journey into holistic optometry and explains how vision problems can contribute to learning challenges, behavioral issues, and difficulties with cognitive function. He shares an incredible patient success story demonstrating how vision therapy helped a woman overcome significant learning challenges, regain confidence, and dramatically reduce her medication burden.

    They also explore:

⦿ Why proper vision screening in children goes far beyond the traditional eye chart

⦿ How vision therapy can support learning disabilities and brain function

⦿ Why morning sunlight is important for circadian health and preparing the body for midday sun exposure

⦿ The importance of balanced UV exposure rather than living in fear of sunlight

⦿ Why blue light is beneficial during the day and blue-blocking glasses are best reserved for the evening

⦿ How different wavelengths of light are used therapeutically

⦿ The connection between light exposure, hemoglobin, mitochondria, and cellular energy production

⦿ Why natural, full-spectrum light matters in classrooms, hospitals, and our everyday environments

⦿ Practical ways to improve your light environment and support your body's natural rhythms

⦿ We also discuss the importance of working with natural sunlight rather than constantly shielding ourselves from it, and how our relationship with light can influence everything from energy and mood to cellular health

This is a fascinating conversation that challenges conventional thinking about eye health, sunlight, and the role of light in healing. Join us as we explore the healing potential of light!

  2. #180 Beyond Classical Homeopathy: Dr. Garber on Gemmotherapy, Lithotherapy & Organotherapy

    Season 4, Episode 180

    Show notes

    Send us Fan Mail

In this episode of The Quantum Health Connection, Heather and Vanessa sit down with Dr. Stuart Garber to explore his decades-long journey through chiropractic, homeopathy, energetic medicine, and the development of his unique Dr. Garber's Bioformulas.

Dr. Garber shares how his early work as a chiropractor eventually led him deeper into homeopathy. After advanced study, he became the first person in the United States to receive a PhD in homeopathy and began incorporating constitutional prescribing alongside the other healing modalities he had developed throughout his career.

His career has taken him far beyond the traditional treatment room. Dr. Garber recounts his years working with performers from Cirque du Soleil, where his relationship with the artists evolved into a six-year collaboration as the company expanded around the world.

The conversation then dives into the work Dr. Garber is best known for today: his Bioformulas, which combine three forms of biotherapy—gemmotherapy, lithotherapy, and organotherapy. He explains that gemmotherapy uses the stem cells of plants; lithotherapy utilizes potentized mineral-containing gemstones; and organotherapy uses homeopathically prepared healthy organs, glands, or glandular secretions.

Dr. Garber also tells the story of how the formulas originated in his clinical practice. What began with individualized combinations created for specific patients eventually grew into a broader system after colleagues began using the preparations with their own patients and kept asking for more.

Heather, Vanessa, and Dr. Garber explore how these preparations can be used alongside constitutional homeopathy rather than necessarily replacing it. They discuss organotherapy potencies, the differences between individualized prescribing and broader supportive formulas, and how Dr. Garber developed combinations designed to work at the level of entire physiological systems.

The discussion also covers several of Dr. Garber’s protocols, including his Staying Well, Resting Well, and Aging Well approaches. He explains how he combines formulas for immune support, environmental exposure, lung health, sleep, mood, anxiety, joint health, bone strength, metabolic vitality, and hormonal balance.

And the conversation doesn’t stop with humans. Dr. Garber discusses developing specialized formulas for dogs and horses, including support for joints, skin, anxiety, and other common animal health concerns. His own experiences working with horses led him to create additional equine formulas and integrate homeopathic biotherapies into animal care.

For homeopaths and other practitioners, Dr. Garber also shares information about his wholesale and affiliate programs and previews a forthcoming practitioner certification program designed to teach practitioners how to understand and use the biotherapies and Bioformulas more deeply in practice.

This episode is an expansive conversation about moving beyond rigid definitions of healing, integrating different energetic modalities, and staying curious enough to discover new ways of supporting the body.

Daniel also walks us through InRhythm’s lighting approach, including its daytime, amber evening, and red nighttime modes, infrared output, and the brighter daytime setting planned for its next generation.

Beyond lighting technology, this conversation asks a bigger question: What becomes possible when we stop treating ourselves as separate from nature?

    In This Episode

    • Jai’s experience with psoriasis and the lifestyle changes he credits with his recovery.
    • How Daniel and Jai met and created InRhythm.
    • Why changing the environment can make behavior change easier.
    • The pressure to stay productive and giving ourselves permission to rest.
    • Jai’s concept of “biological freedom.”
    • How evening light can influence the transition toward sleep.
    • Questioning the identities of “night owl” and “poor sleeper.”

Heather and Vanessa interview Judyann McNamara, DHom, CCH, ND, ex-quantum physicist/biologist researcher, and homeopath-founder of the MICH Academy for Holism and Classical Homeopathy.

Fascinated by life and living processes, consciousness and spirituality, but disappointed with the incomplete answers biology and medicine provided, Judyann sought to understand the energetic dimension emerging from consciousness that underlies our biology. As neither biophysics nor quantum biology were recognized disciplines in 1976, Judyann did both as separate disciplines and continued in physics research. In 1980 she witnessed the traces left on detectors by biophotons emitted by living cells. This led to studying and being qualified in subtle energy fields, Reiki, Cranial Sacral Therapy, Chinese Medicine, Homeopathy, Naturopathy and Qigong.

Holism, the metaphysical container for Quantum Biology provided the container for all the practices. Recognizing how essential the paradigm shift from mechanism to holism is for the healing of humanity, she founded the International Association of Holistic Professionals. The IAHP’s Friday morning experiential workshops explored healing presence and our challenging cases through the process of Dialog (a la David Bohm) and inquiry. The successes of the cases dialogued, and those of her clinical practice inspired a group of therapists to want to share and teach how to naturally align with Holism as the Force of creation and evolution, with homeopathy as its central therapy in 2006.

For the last 20 years, the MICH Academy for Holism and Classical Homeopathy has changed the lives of thousands of people through its the international 4 year fully accredited apprenticeship practitioner program based on one on one mentorships through live casetaking practice and continues to grow stronger.

Judyann continues to keep a toe in research by collaborating with Drs Martin Picard and Nirosha Murugan. Martin and Judyann developed the ground-breaking Energy Resistance Principle during our dialog sessions last year. Picard's upcoming book Energy has been designed to help readers make the important paradigm shift from the chemical-mechanical model of health to one that is based on Energy and the human experience.

Judyann describes mitochondria as quantum organelles operating at the boundary between the material and immaterial—connecting us to the quantum field while transforming captured light into energy. We explore why understanding health may require us to move beyond a purely mechanistic view of the body and toward a truly holistic one.

    We dive into:

✨ Why mitochondria may be understood as a bridge between the material and immaterial

✨ The connection between mitochondria, consciousness, and quantum fields

✨ How homeopathic remedies communicate information through energetic signatures

✨ Why the experience of a symptom may be more important than simply naming the symptom

✨ How the default mode network, overthinking, anxiety, and living in our stories can consume enormous amounts of energy

✨ Why presence, nature, connection, and heart intelligence may support mitochondrial health

✨ Disease as a call toward greater wholeness

✨ Moving beyond dualistic thinking and learning to hold opposing experiences as interconnected polarities

✨ Why some people become stuck in victim/perpetrator narratives and how shifting perspective requires energy

✨ The idea of experiencing ourselves as events rather than objects or nouns

✨ How different homeopathic modalities—from remedies and complexes to flower essences and cell salts—can work across different energetic levels

✨ Sensitivity, mitochondrial information processing, and why some people respond so strongly to both disease and remedies

✨ Potency, information, entropy, and what happens when too much information is introduced at once

✨ And how developing greater awareness of our body's signals can help us become active participants in our own healing

One of our favorite themes from this conversation is the idea that suffering itself can be understood as a longing for wholeness—and that healing may involve moving beyond the belief that we are separate from ourselves, each other, nature, and the greater whole.

This is a deep conversation that bridges homeopathy, quantum biology, consciousness, and the human experience in a really fascinating way.

  8. #174 Agree or Disagree Part 2: Calories, Carbs, Fruit & the Health Myths We’re Questioning

    Season 4, Episode 174

    Show notes

    Send us Fan Mail

In Part 2 of our Agree or Disagree series, Vanessa and Heather are back with another round of health topics that challenge the conventional wisdom.

Are calories really all that matters for weight loss? Are carbohydrates bad for women? Does fruit make us sick? Can you actually take too many supplements? And is more testing always better?

Vanessa and Heather unpack these questions from their own experiences and perspectives, exploring the bigger picture of health—including circadian rhythm, stress, sleep, hormones, mitochondrial health, nutrient quality, and emotional healing.

They also get personal, with Vanessa sharing how increasing her carbohydrate intake dramatically changed her energy, hormones, and libido after years of chronic illness and under-eating.

    In this episode, they discuss:

Calories and weight loss: Why a calorie deficit isn't the whole story

How circadian rhythm, stress, sleep, hormones, and mitochondrial health can influence metabolism

Whether tracking macros is helpful—or potentially harmful—for different people

Why Vanessa believes adequate carbohydrates are especially important for women's health

The relationship between carbohydrates, libido, hormones, energy, and metabolic health

Heather's experiences with keto and carnivore diets

Why fruit isn't the enemy and how seasonal, whole-food eating can change the conversation around sugar

Seasonal eating and choosing foods that make sense for the time of year

Why more supplements don't necessarily mean better health

Targeted support vs. taking a long list of supplements “just in case”

Vanessa's perspective on homeopathy and tissue salts as energetic medicines rather than supplements

Why physical and emotional healing are interconnected

Why we agree that stress management may be even more important than nutrition

The importance of morning sunlight for circadian rhythm and overall health

Our skepticism around excessive testing and the idea that we always need more data

How social media can fuel fear, comparison, anxiety, and unrealistic expectations

Why individualized health strategies are more valuable than one-size-fits-all protocols

As always, this isn't about telling you what you should do. It's about questioning the health rules we've been handed, looking at the whole person, and figuring out what actually makes sense for you.

If you enjoyed Part 2, let us know what topics you'd like us to tackle in Part 3 of Agree or Disagree!

  9. #173 The Subconscious Impact of Mind Control on Your Health with Jason Christoff

    Season 4, Episode 173

    Show notes

    Send us Fan Mail

We are excited to bring you this episode with Jason Christoff, a mind control researcher. You may be thinking, "what does mind control have to do with health?", or "I'm definitely not under mind control!".

Well, we invite you to listen to this extremely important episode, and then let us know if your opinions have changed! Mind control leads us to unwittingly self-sabotage, and Jason is an expert in teaching how to recognize and mitigate the negative impact of this on our health.

Jason has studied mind control for many years, and he has spoken on mind control to the US Senate as well as to the European, Japanese and Romanian Parliaments. Jason also wrote and directed a free and excellent documentary, Planet Mind Control, that clearly shows how the ruling group weaponizes mind control against the general public constantly. You can watch Jason's documentary for free athttp://www.planetmindcontrol.com/ (we dare you!).

What if some of the choices you make every day—what you eat, what you believe, what you consume, and even how you respond to fear—aren’t entirely your own?

Jason was a former fitness club owner and health educator who became deeply interested in the ways media, repetition, group dynamics, and subconscious programming can influence human behavior. He shares his personal journey of awakening to these ideas, beginning with questions about conventional nutrition guidelines and eventually leading him to study kinesiology, human behavior, and group dynamics. He explains how he began recognizing patterns in his own body and why he describes it as a kind of “walking lie detector”—responding differently when he encountered information he felt was true versus information that conflicted with his instincts.

From food and health recommendations to movies, television, advertising, social expectations, and fear-based messaging, Jason challenges listeners to become more aware of what they are repeatedly exposing themselves to.

    In this episode, we explore:

    • How repetitive information can influence the subconscious mind
    • The powerful role of group dynamics and tribal affiliation in shaping behavior
    • Why stepping outside the “average” can sometimes create subconscious resistance
    • The relationship between individuality, maturation, and painful life experiences
    • How social pressure can influence our choices around food, alcohol, caffeine, and lifestyle
    • The potential physiological and spiritual effects of living in an environment filled with fear and negative messaging
    • How media can normalize behaviors and beliefs through repetition
    • What the COVID era revealed about fear, programming, and collective compliance
    • Jason’s perspective on conspiracy theories and why some people instinctively reject information that challenges their existing worldview
    • The importance of becoming conscious of what we allow into our mental and physical environment
    • How intentionally surrounding yourself with positive, uplifting, and repetitive content can help reinforce the life you want to create
    • The importance of individuation—learning to think, choose, and live independently of the pressure of the group
    • Why awareness doesn't require perfection and why progress is the goal
    • Becoming Conscious of Your Environment

One of the biggest takeaways from this conversation is the importance of paying attention to what you repeatedly consume. Just as we think about the quality of the food we put into our bodies, Jason encourages listeners to consider the quality of the information, images, entertainment, conversations, and messages we repeatedly expose ourselves to.

    Season 4, Episode 171

    Show notes

    Send us Fan Mail

In this episode, Heather and Vanessa put their opinions on the table and ask: Do we actually agree?

Breakfast. Vitamin D. Detoxes. Coffee. Sunscreen. Raw milk. Parasite cleanses. Homeopathy. And even the idea that healing is supposed to be hard.

We don’t see everything the same way which is exactly what makes this conversation so interesting.

We talk about why our beliefs around health need to be allowed to evolve, why what works for one person may not work for another, and why supplements, research, and outside advice can never completely replace learning to understand your own body.

We also dive into the deeper side of healing: stress; emotions; spirituality; gratitude; trusting yourself; and recognizing that true health is about so much more than what you take.

Because healing isn’t one-size-fits-all. And you don’t have to blindly follow someone else’s rules to get healthier.

🎙 Listen to the episode and let us know what do YOU agree or disagree with!

    Send us Fan Mail

This week on the podcast, Heather and Vanessa are joined by Miro Posavec, founder of Bestmade Natural Products, for a fascinating conversation about homeopathy, cell salts, remedy manufacturing, food, and what it really means to look at the whole person.

Miro’s journey into homeopathy began with his own son’s health, and eventually led him from practicing classical homeopathy to building a homeopathic pharmacy that has grown from shipping a single box of remedies in 2004 to working with suppliers and customers around the world.

    We talk about:

✨ Miro’s journey into classical homeopathy and why he eventually left practice

✨ How Bestmade Natural Products grew over the last 20+ years

✨ Cell salts—what they are, how they’re made, and how Miro uses them

✨ Why he believes diet and obstacles to cure need to be addressed alongside remedies

✨ Classical remedies vs. newer, less-proven remedies

✨ Combination remedies and when Miro finds them useful

✨ His experience with remedy provings, and one particularly wild proving experience that changed his understanding of empathy and intuition

✨ Favorite remedies, flower essences, and some fascinating cases from his years of practice

✨ The importance of traditional food practices and what we’ve lost in modern life

    ✨ Regulatory challenges facing homeopathy

✨ His new 120-remedy kit and the Fast Remedy Picker software

    ✨ And so much more!

I especially loved hearing Miro’s perspective as someone who has spent decades not only studying and practicing homeopathy, but actually manufacturing remedies and seeing how they perform in the real world with thousands of customers.

This one is packed with stories, experience, opinions, and plenty to think about!

    Season 4, Episode 169

    Show notes

    Send us Fan Mail

Wren Lloyd joins the Quantum Health Connection podcast for a wide-ranging conversation about the path from being called to homeopathy to becoming a confident, supported practitioner. She traces the experiences that led her from Montessori education and self-study into clinical practice, practice-building mentorship, international service, and the creation of the Inspired School of Homeopathic Practice.

The discussion moves beyond remedies into the inner life of the practitioner. Wren explains how The Three Principles inform her approach to self-responsibility, perception, client care, trauma narratives, and professional resilience. Wren also shares about her model of apprenticeship-based education, about building community, ethical niche marketing, homeopathic detox, and the importance of helping graduates build viable practices.

    In this episode:

    • The early experience that first placed homeopathy on Wren’s radar
    • How education, motherhood, self-study, and formal training shaped her professional path
    • Why many graduates know how to do homeopathy but do not yet know how to be practicing homeopaths
    • The Inspired School’s apprenticeship model, live cases, small cohorts, and practice-building emphasis
    • Using a defined niche to communicate clearly without limiting who a practitioner can serve
    • The role of practitioner self-awareness and The Three Principles in client care
    • Creating supportive professional communities and reducing post-graduation isolation
    • Wren’s evolution from strictly classical training toward a broader clinical toolkit, including detox approaches

  14. #168 Beyond Vitamin D: How Sunlight Powers Your Mitochondria with Jonathan Jarecki—Part 2

    Season 4, Episode 168

    Show notes

    Send us Fan Mail

In Part 2 of our conversation with Jonathan Jarecki, we move beyond the basic advice to “get more sunlight” and dive deeply into the emerging science of how light interacts with our mitochondria, cellular water, circulation, and circadian biology.

Jonathan begins by challenging the familiar explanation that ATP is simply the “energy currency” of the cell. Drawing from the work of researchers such as Gilbert Ling and Gerald Pollack, he explores another possibility: ATP may play a crucial role in organizing water and building exclusion-zone—or EZ—water inside the body.

We then examine how red and near-infrared light may support mitochondrial function. Jonathan explains proposed mechanisms involving cytochrome c oxidase, ATP synthase, electron flow through the mitochondrial electron transport chain, nitric oxide, and the production of subcellular melatonin. He also discusses why the absence of infrared light—and the abundance of isolated blue light—in modern indoor environments may place additional stress on our mitochondria.

The conversation also takes an honest look at red-light therapy devices. Are high-intensity panels always better, or could the lower intensity and balanced spectrum of natural sunlight be more biologically appropriate? Jonathan shares his concerns about extremely powerful devices, explains how distance can reduce intensity, and discusses simple alternatives such as incandescent bulbs and reflected near-infrared light.

We also explore the often-demonized ultraviolet portion of sunlight. Jonathan discusses vitamin D as a possible marker of sun exposure rather than the sole reason sunlight is associated with better health outcomes. He explains how UVA stimulates nitric oxide release, why that matters for blood pressure and circulation, and what research suggests about regular sun exposure, melanoma mortality, cardiovascular health, and other cancers.

Finally, Jonathan offers realistic ways to create a more light-supportive lifestyle even if you work indoors or are not ready for direct midday sun.

    In this episode, we discuss:

    • What mitochondria do and why they are essential to nearly every cell in the body
    • Whether ATP is truly the body’s cellular energy currency
    • Gilbert Ling’s ideas about ATP and cellular water
    • Gerald Pollack’s research into exclusion-zone water
    • How infrared light may affect electron flow and ATP production
    • Cytochrome c oxidase, ATP synthase and the mitochondrial membrane potential
    • How near-infrared light penetrates deeply into the body
    • Why trees and green spaces create infrared-rich environments
    • Whether infrared light can penetrate clothing
    • Natural fibers versus synthetic fabrics
    • The mitochondrial effects of isolated blue light
    • Subcellular melatonin and the body’s antioxidant defenses
    • Red-light therapy panels versus natural sunlight
    • Why more intensity may not always produce better results
    • Incandescent bulbs as a simple source of red and infrared light
    • Why vitamin D supplements do not fully reproduce sunlight exposure
    • UVA, nitric oxide, blood pressure and cardiovascular health
    • The difference between chronic, regular sun exposure and intermittent burning
    • Sun exposure, melanoma mortality and other cancer risks
    • Why reductionist studies may fail to capture the full effects of sunlight
    • Morning light and nighttime darkness as the foundations of circadian health
    • Practical ways to improve your light environment at home and work

The science may be complex, but the central message is beautifully simple: our bodies developed in relationship with the full spectrum of natural light. Improving that relationship does not have to involve an expensive device or a complete lifestyle overhaul. It can begin with stepping outside in the morning, welcoming more natural light into the day, and allowing true darkness to return at night.

  16. #166 Quantum Nutrition: Why Light Matters More Than Food with Ethan Okunas, MS, RD

    Season 4, Episode 166

    Show notes

    Send us Fan Mail

Ethan Okunas is a Registered Dietitian, founder of Quantum Dietitian, and author of Quantum Nutrition and Quantum Weight Loss.

Ethan helps clients rebuild their health by aligning metabolism, rhythm, and environment at the level of energy. Rather than focusing only on food and symptoms, Ethan teaches people how to work with the upstream signals — light, timing, water, movement, and mitochondrial function — that truly shape how the body operates.

Ethan shares how years of helping clients lose (and regain) weight led him to question conventional nutrition advice. That search ultimately brought him into the world of mitochondrial health, circadian biology, and quantum health, where he discovered that hormones are often driving metabolism rather than calories.

Vanessa and Ethan unpack why thyroid dysfunction may actually be a protective response to mitochondrial stress, how our modern environment disrupts hormone signaling, and why optimizing light exposure often has a greater impact than changing what's on your plate.

They also discuss restrictive diets, GLP-1 medications, sunlight, sleep, EMFs, grounding, structured water, meal timing, and practical ways anyone can begin reconnecting with nature to improve health.

Whether you're struggling with fatigue, stubborn weight, thyroid issues, poor sleep, or simply want to understand the bigger picture of health, this episode offers a refreshing perspective that goes far beyond calories and macros.

Here's what we cover in this episode:

Ethan's journey from traditional dietetics to quantum health

Why most weight loss advice fails long-term

The relationship between mitochondria, thyroid function, and reverse T3

Why hormones (not calories) ultimately regulate body weight

What GLP-1 medications reveal about metabolism

The pillars of Quantum Nutrition beyond food

Why sunlight is one of the most powerful health interventions available

The importance of complete darkness for sleep and recovery

How blue light and non-native EMFs affect metabolism

Simple ways to reduce EMF exposure at home

Why meal timing matters as much as food quality

The role of grounding, structured water, and movement in energy production

The truth about restrictive low-carb and carnivore diets

Why adding seasonal carbohydrates can improve metabolism, sleep, and performance

Practical daily habits that support circadian biology and mitochondrial health

    Season 4, Episode 162

    Show notes

    Send us Fan Mail

In this fascinating episode, we sit down with renowned homeopath and author Ian Watson to explore his journey from practicing homeopathy to teaching The Three Principles, a transformative understanding of mental and emotional well-being.

Ian Watson began studying homeopathy, herbs and flower essences as a teenager in the mid 1970’s. He subsequently trained and graduated from the College of Homeopathy in London in 1988. He ran a busy group practice in Cumbria for many years and became established as a lecturer at various homeopathic schools in the UK and overseas. He co-founded The Lakeland College of Homeopathy in 1993 and was the college director until 2003. He wrote and published four books including A Guide to the Methodologies of Homeopathy and The Tao of Homeopathy.

Ian has had a lifelong interest in personal transformation, and he studied and practiced a wide variety of psychological and emotional healing disciplines from 2002 onwards. In 2011 he was introduced to the Three Principles paradigm discovered by Sydney Banks which is revolutionizing the field of mental health; this simple understanding has been a foundational aspect of his work ever since.

In 2013, Ian founded The Insight Space as a vehicle for his educational and training programs. Whilst no longer offering individual homeopathic consultations, Ian continues to support and mentor homeopathic students and practitioners in being more effective and learning how to practice with ease, enjoyment and confidence. Ian was particularly inspired in his homeopathic approach by his friend and teacher Dr. Robin Murphy.

In this fascinating episode, Ian shares how years in clinical practice eventually led him to seek a deeper understanding of human suffering and healing.
